How He Asks You Out..

Harry: You’re the best friend of his older sister, Gemma. You’ve met and hung around Harry plenty of times, and the two of you became nearly indivisible. He always wanted you to be around for family dinners and things, and you always wanted Gemma to bring him over as well if she came to your house.

You stood outside, on Harry’s doorstep after the dinner he and your family shared. Everyone else was waiting in the car, but you just stood there awkwardly waiting for Harry to say something since he was the one who kept you.

"Um, I-I had really great night with you… And your family!" he added quickly. You just nodded and brushed some hair behind your ears. "But, uh, I was wondering if- if we could do this again without um, Gemma, and my dad, and my mom, and your mom, and-"

"Are you asking me out on a date?" you giggled.

"I was trying to," Harry admitted, smiling at the threshold and blushing.

You leaned forward and kissed his cheek sweetly. But you almost broke into laughter and ruined the moment when you saw how wide his jade irises got. “I would love to.”

"You would?!"

"Yes, I would love to go on a date with you, Harry Edward Styles." He smiled at you, which was just enough clue for the two of you to lean in for a hug. Unfortunately, the loud horn from your parents’ car startled you and you pulled back quickly.

Harry cleared his throat and blushed again. “So, I guess we can continue this on Saturday. About 2 o’clock?”

You nodded then frantically scrambled into you parents’ car, thinking about how lovely it was going to be when it was going to be just the two of you. Just you and Harry.

Liam: "Oh, Liam! Right?" You asked as if you didn’t know. You had run into this guy about twelve times now, and it was starting to become a lot less coincidental. The first time was at a record shop. And then you two had met up again later that week at the barber’s. And then you had seen him again at a nearby ice cream parlor. And then after that, you had stopped believing that all of this was accidental because each time you ran into him, he would be ready to start a conversation.

And now, you had run into him at yoga class. You were just about to leave when he recognized and stopped you.

"Yeah," he said eagerly, his brown eyes lighting up with excitement.

"Well, it was nice to see you again," you said quickly. If you didn’t hurry out, you were going to be late for your planned lunch with your friend. You picked up your yoga mat and started to walk out the door, but he grabbed your arm again. "Yeah, what is it?" you asked hastily.

"U-Um, I just wanted to um-"

"Can we please speed this up?" you rushed him. You didn’t mean to sound rude, but something was definitely holding his tongue- and tight. “I really have to go. I have to meet up with someone soon.”

"Oh, right! Sorry! I-I just wanted to ask you if we could go…out some time?" he continued unsteadily.

At first, you raised a suspicious eyebrow. His uncertainty about his own words was making you nervous. But then you smiled, and reached a hand to his face, gently petting it to reassure him. “Yes, Liam, we can.”

His face flushed, his jaw dropped, and his eyebrows raised because he was that unbelieving of your answer. But soon enough, he recovered from his shock enough to the point where he could speak. “U-um, great! That’s great! I-I- We should probably exchange numbers, right?”
