Management Makes You Break Up With Him… (Part 1)

Liam: “Please (Y/N). It’s for the best.” You had just gotten off the phone with One Direction’s management. They informed you that Liam was too distracted with his personal life and that they needed him to focus. Especially with the upcoming album. Basically what they were trying to say was that they wanted you to breakup with Liam. A heartbreaking sigh escapes from your lips. Without letting Liam know, you show up in front of his house. “Hey love! Hey. What’s wrong?” his voice goes from bubbly to worry once he sees your tear-stained face. He cradles you into a hug, but you push him away. “I can’t do this anymore Liam,” you say, barely audible. “Do what?” he asks worriedly. You suddenly become interested in your shoes. You couldn’t look at him. “I just think we should take a break. It’s for the best. I’m so sorry,” you choke, tears about to spill out of your eyes any minute. “You can’t be serious. You know it’s not for the best. Please don’t do this,” he lets out a nervous chuckle. “I’m sorry Liam,” you mumble. Without looking at him, you leave him standing there with no explanation.

Harry: It’s been a week since management called you, telling you that you needed to break up with him. All they said was, “It’s for his future (Y/N). You understand that right?” That was the line that made up your mine. His happiness and future came before yours. You and Harry went out on a walk to the park. You were silent almost the entire time. He slowly notices and asks, “What’s on your mind? Tell me.” You stayed quiet. You didn’t know what to say. “Nothing. Nothing yet,” you reply, giving him a sad smile. “You can tell me anything (Y/N). You know that,” he says, knotting his fingers between yours. You immediately let go of his hand. You didn’t want any second thoughts. His face was hurt and shocked. Your head hung low, not wanting to face him. “I don’t think I can be with you anymore,” you couldn’t believe what you had just said. You were surprised as much as he was. “Stop joking around,” he says, hoping what you said wasn’t real. “Maybe one day we’ll be back together. But for right now, your future is more important. I’m sorry,” you peck his cheek quickly and walk away.

Louis: You got called into a small meeting with management and it didn’t turn out so well. They wanted you to breakup with Louis. You refused with all your heart at first, but they talked you into it somehow. Louis caught you walking out of the building. You pretended that you didn’t see him, but he caught up to you. “What were you doing here?” he asks, looking back at the building. “Nothing. I just thought you were there,” you lied. You felt so guilty for lying, but you didn’t know what to do. “Well, I’m here now! Did you want to do something?” he smiles. It hurt to see that smile. “This has to be the worst time to do this. I just can’t be with you. It’ll be better for the both of us,” you say. It just spilled out of your mouth. You bite your lip, eyes focusing on the cement. His laugh was dry and dull, “That’s not funny.” You pause, trying to think of something to say. “I can’t be with someone that I don’t love. At least not anymore,” you lied again. Before he could say anything, you left, tears running down your face.

Niall: “You’re here! Finally,” he giggles, wrapping you in a hug. That giggle that you heard was going to be the last. It hurt to know that you had to do this to him. He’s done so much for you. Management somehow convinced you that it’s better for his publicity and that the fans wouldn’t hurt him if you weren’t in his life. You fight back your tears. “I’m not staying for long Niall,” you say blankly. He was confused at the tone of voice you used. “Do you have to go somewhere?” he asks anxiously. “Not exactly,” you mutter, “Just know that I’m doing this because I love you. We can’t be together anymore.” He stares at you, hurt clearly shown in his eyes. His lips start to curve down into a frown. “What do you mean we can’t be together?” he croaks. “I’m so sorry Niall. I don’t want to hurt you. But this is just what has to happen right now,” you respond, swallowing the lump in your throat. “Please don’t do this to me. Please!” his voice cracks. His eyes are becoming cloudy with the tears that are forming. “I love you,” you say, before leaving.

Zayn: Management had offered you money to break up with Zayn. You laughed at them, thinking that they could buy you off was absurd. You wanted a real reason. They said that the upcoming album was going to be one of the busiest one’s they’ll be working on, as well as their next tour. “We don’t want to hurt neither of you. You need to let go of each other.” They magically convinced you into doing it. You met up with Zayn at a coffee shop. “Hey babe,” he greets you with a kiss on the cheek. “We really need to talk,” you say, your eyes focused on your coffee cup. “About what?” he asks uneasily. “I just need you to understand me. With your upcoming album and tour, and me in school, we’ll have no time for each other. We’ll grow apart and I just thought it’d be better to do this now,” your lips curve into a sad, hurt smile. “I’m sorry. We’ve got to let each other go before we get hurt.” “Aren’t we already past that?” he replies, becoming irritated. “I’m sorry,” you say, letting a tear slip down your face as you leave.
