Rain...

Niall: The pitter patter of rain drops against your window melted perfectly with the other sounds that filled your cosy London apartment. The radio in the kitchen had been accidentally left on, and you could just barely hear it, not even enough to make out what the voice was saying. The sound of the heater clinking and clanking every so often along with your and Niall’s breathing all mixed into one beautiful little symphony. You could almost hear the sound of Niall’s fingertips tracing your arm, shoulder, and back. At that moment, you truly understood what Niall meant when he told you he couldn’t stand it when it was quiet. You shifted your head slightly on his chest, looking up at him, only to find him already lovingly smiling down at you. You stared into his happy blue eyes and he looked back into yours, in one of those perfect moments that only happen a few times in a lifetime, one of those moments that are never planned, but are more perfect than anyone could ever fathom. “You’re so beautiful.” He whispered, as you became aware of his hand running up and down your exposed body, tracing the outline of your figure. “I love you.” You said, and it felt right, so right. The lazy grin you had learned to love so dearly spread over his face. “I love you too.”

Harry: It was grey. The clouds that covered the sky, Harry’s favorite hoodie that you wore on your back, your emotions, the tears that fogged your eyes and the fog that ghosted the streets. Everything was utterly grey in that moment. It was calm, a sickly calm that made you want to scream just so that it wouldn’t be so damn quiet. The silence was deafening. However, it was quickly broken by the sound of footsteps, heavy and rushed, following behind you. “(Y/n)!” You heard your name being called. The voice was so familiar it stung. “Leave me alone.” You spat out the words. You felt a pair of strong arms wrap around your waist. You struggled in a sad attempt to pull them off, if only by mere principle. Eventually you stopped and you felt yourself melt into the warm embrace of the man you loved so dearly, your sobs and the sound of rain against concrete echoing around you. Harry held you tightly against him as you let yourself go completely. “It’s going to be ok.” He whispered against your cold, damp skin. “You’re going to be ok, because I love you. I love you more than anything else, and I’m not going to let anything hurt you. I’ll protect you. I’ll be there for you. I promise you, (y/n). Even if you stopped loving me, I’d still make sure you were safe, happy, everything you deserve to be. Because I’ll never stop loving you.”

Liam: You looked out of the window, and tears pricked at the sides of your eyes. It was raining. On your wedding day. You looked down at your beautiful wedding dress. Perfect wedding dress, perfect groom, perfect venue. The one day in your life that was supposed to be perfect, and it was raining. Typical. You rushed out of your room and headed over to Liam’s. You knocked on the door, which was opened by Harry. “(Y/n)! You know you’re not allowed to see Liam until after the wedding!” He scolded. However, seeing the tears in your eyes, his eyes grew wide and he moved aside, allowing you entrance to the room. You heard the door close as Harry left. You saw Liam standing by the window, but he turned at the sound of the closing door. His eyes widened at the sight of you, and a smile spread across his lips. “(Y/n)” he said your name softly, as though he was savoring the sound. “You look beautiful… Well, you always do, I mean… You’re so beautiful…” The smile on his face faltered as he saw the tears welling in your eyes. “What’s wrong?” He asked. Before you even had a chance to reply, you could feel Liam wrapping his strong arms around you. “I’m sorry.” He murmured. “We don’t have to get married. I will give you as much time as you need, I’ll wait for you. I’m sorry, (y/n). I love you.” You smiled. “Liam, I was upset because of the rain.” You giggled, realizing how silly it sounded now. “Rain?” He echoed. The two of you began laughing. As long as you were marrying Liam, nothing could ruin your day. It would be perfect anyway. “Isn’t rain on your wedding day good luck?” He suddenly exclaimed. “I don’t think that’s a real thing.” You laughed. “I’m pretty sure you just made that up.” “That’s not important! It will be our thing.” He said, leaning down to kiss you softly.

Zayn: You swore under your breathe as the rain began to make its way down. You were on your way to work, and showing up soaking wet was not how you wanted to start the day. You were waiting for the bus, and it was running late, of course. “Fuck. Fuck fuckety fucking fucker.” You heard chuckling behind you, and you whipped around, making eye contact with the brown eyed boy behind you. You blushed furiously. “Sorry.” You muttered. “I didn’t know anyone was there.” He laughed again. “No problem.” He grinned. “I take it you don’t like the rain?” He watched you intently as you shook your head no. “Well then, would you care to share my umbrella with me? It’s big enough for two.” You looked up at him nervously. “I hope I’m not coming on too strong…” He nervously rubbed the back of his neck. “But you have really pretty eyes and I promise I’m not a perv, so the offer stands.” You smiled at his nervous rambling and joined him under the umbrella. He grinned over at you. “Thanks.” You smiled back. “You’re welcome.”

Louis: You and Louis were eating dinner on the patio of his new house, chatting, laughing and just enjoying being together. As you finished up your meal, you felt a few water droplets start to fall. You looked at Louis. “Should we go in?” You asked, and Louis grinned, “Why? They don’t look like thunderclouds.” Louis got up and extended his hand out to yours, and you took it with a light laugh. He pulled your body closely into his and started swaying softly. A calm took over the two of you, your music being the patter of rain and the chirp of crickets. It was a sense of peace and safety you’d never felt before, and you loved it. You looked up at Louis, and he smiled back at you. “Want to go for a swim?” He asked, running his fingers softly under the hem of your shirt. “Sure.” You replied. The two of you raced over to the pool, and began stripping until you were in your bra and panties. You looked over to see Louis in his boxers. You bit your lip, as Louis in boxers was a pretty attractive sight to behold. He smirked at you, and you looked down, blushing slightly. You took a deep breath, jumping into the water, the warm liquid engulfing you. You rose up, gasping for air. You looked over to see a swirl of bubbles which Louis soon emerged from. He swam over to you, grinning. The two of you began a water fight, which ended in a bout of kisses. Louis pulled you in, deepening the kiss. His hands trailed over your body, retaining every detail to memory. You tugged slightly on his boxers, and you could feel him smirk slightly into the kiss. Louis could always take the most boring rainy day and make it interesting.
