You have stopped to get gas at the gas station, since well, you didn't exactly want to get stranded on the street.

As you enter the gas station to go pay, you are smacked on the side of your head with a flying box of mini Oreos.

"ZACH!"

You bend down to pick up the box as you wonder who could've thrown it, and you look up to find the culprit.

As you begin to stand with the box in hand, your eyes meet with a brown eyes boy who was covering his mouth with his hands, his eyes wide.

"I-I'm so sorry. I was trying to throw it to my friend." the brown haired boy stutters out, making his way towards you.

"Don't worry, I always get hit by flying boxes of mini Oreos." you chuckle, not wanting to be mean since the boy looked genuinely sorry... and embarrassed.

His brown eyes seemed to light up as he gave you a half smile.

The boy's eyes shift to behind you then back to you, and he speaks up.

"Seriously, I'm r-really sorry. Let me make it up to you, I'll pay for your gas." he offers, but you shake your head.

"It's alright, you gave me a good story to tell." you shrug, handing the box of Oreos to the boy.

"It's really the least I can do. I'm Zach, by the way." he introduces himself to you as he takes the box with one hand.

"My name is 'you're-not-paying-for-my-gas'. Nice to meet you, Zach." you jokingly reply with a smile, hoping he understood that you weren't being mean but were just joking.

You truly didn't want him to pay for your gas when all that happened was an accident.

You walk up to the counter and greet the cashier, then tell them, "twenty dollars, number four, please."

The cashier smiles and nods as you thank him, then turn around to leave.

You don't see Zach nor his friend as you walk out of the gas station, but instead see Zach leaning against your friend's car, waving at you.

"Hey, 'you're-not-paying-for-my-gas!'" Zach exclaims, giving you a wide grin.

"If you're trying to hijack my friend's car, I don't think you're suppose to greet me." you mention, thinking that this boy was probably going to steal your car at this point.

Where's that little green gecko at, you think to yourself

"I wouldn't be an impolite car hijacker, that's rude. I mean, you're already stealing their car, so might as well have some manners. I-I'm n-not saying that I am, I just woul-- I'm going to stop now."

You laugh as Zach messes up his words, but couldn't help to find it cute.

"What made her car hijacking material, anyways?" you ask him, beginning to fuel the car up with gas.

"Well, to start, it was alone." Zach answers.

"Yeah, I should've figured." you chuckle, glancing up at Zach.

"Then, it's your friend's car, so that basically was a clear sign to hijack it." Zach finishes.

"Hijacking a car is how you're making it up to me? I'm actually impressed." you joke, putting the nozzle up and closing the fuel door.

"Just taking an original path." Zach responds, loosening up.

You nod as you turn to Zach directly, and take this moment to look at his features.

"You probably need to get going, can I have your number you know, to make it up to you?" Zach asks, which stunned you for a split second.

"I don't live here, I live in Indiana." you tell him, but you were just messing around with him.

"Oh..." Zach's expression falls and at that very second, you smile up at him and say, "not really, here."

You wait for him to take out his phone and then tell him your number.

"Thank you. Oh, don't block me once I message you, please. I really have to make it up to you." he gives you a half smile, and you laugh.

"I wouldn't block you either way." you assure him, and he gives you a wave as he walks off.

You begin to get into the passenger's seat until you hear him yell out, "Wait!"

You get out of your car and stand up as Zach jogs up to you.

"I never got your uh legal name." he points out.

"It's y/n."
