You were at Chipotle to get some late dinner because well, it's Chipotle.
Chipotle has never—and will never—let you down, of course.
You noticed that it was mostly lonesome since there were only twenty minutes until the restaurant closed.
As you were getting out your card to pay, a boy around your age stopped by next to you to pick up his order.
There was only one worker in view at the moment, and he smiles as he sees the boy.
"Jonah, there you are." the worker grins, then excuses himself to get the order.
"Haha, don't think I'd be late." the boy, Jonah, you believe, replies.
As the worker gets Jonah's bag, Jonah speaks up.
"I thought I'd be the only one here."
You look up to him and notice that he was much taller and had nice factors.
"Chipotle nine pm cravings, it's usual." you smile up at him.
"Not usual to see beautiful girls, though." he smoothly remarks.
You chuckle, "Chipotle is a beaut."
He gives you a smile, and shakes his head.
"We both know what I meant."
"My point exactly." You counter, and the worker returns with the bag of the boy's food.
"Thank you." the boy tells the worker, and then he suddenly adds on, "She's a friend of mine, charge me when I return."
Before you could even process what was happening, the worker hands you your meal and whispers, "Don't worry, he comes here weekly."
You smile and nod then take your meal, knowing that you'd return to pay for the meal tomorrow.
As you begin to walk towards the exit, the boy walks next to you and asks, "What's your name?"
"y/n." you answer as you walk by his side.
"I'm Jonah, but I don't think you've heard of me, have you?" he asks, which results in you being confused.
You look around at the walls of the building.
"Are you employee of the month?" you ask him with uncertainty.
"I'm probably customer of the day, but no." he laughs, opening the door for you.
"Thank you. Does being customer of the day make you well known here?" you ask him, still not processing what he meant.
"Well, the workers know me. What I meant is that I'm in a band, Why Don't We." He clarifies, and you finally realize what he was trying to convey.
"Why Don't Oui, got it." you nod.
"We." Jonah repeats.
"Oui." you respond.
"No, we." Jonah laughs.
"I know, I said yes."
You laugh as Jonah puts on a face of realization.
"Play that game, then." Jonah scoffs, but he has a wide smile on his face.
"Gladly." you reply, stopping as you realize that his car was parked on the opposite side of the parking lot as yours.
"I really want to get to know you." Jonah begins, which surprises you for a second.
"Meet me at the movie theater, the one fifteen minutes away from here. Tomorrow at five, yeah?" he then asks you.
"For the arcade, right?" you ask for clarification, because you knew that there was a closer theater, but it didn't have an arcade.
"So much for surprises." Jonah chuckles.
"Oh, oh, sorry. For the popcorn, right?"
Jonah smiles and nods.
"See you there, y/n."
