You walk into the arcade, excited to beat Jonah at some of the games.
"y/n! Hey!" you hear Jonah yell out and you see him begin to walk towards you as he leaves a small tattoo machine.
"You think it's too soon if we get matching tattoos?"
You can only laugh as he shows you the two tattoos he got from the machine.
"I'm assuming you specifically chose the unicorn one?" you question him as your eyes examine a pink unicorn tattoo.
"It only shows how manly I am." he smiles while looking at you.
"We'll put them on after I beat you at air hockey, though." Jonah adds on as he glances at the air hockey table.
"Jonah, I'll beat you at air hockey more times than you've bought Chipotle. Easy." you remark, smirking.
"Oh, as if. You're on y/n." Jonah shakes his head with a grin and walks to the opposite side of the table.
You look for the coin slot and before you can take out your change, you hear Jonah say, "I'll use my quarters. I have too many, anyways."
"I'll pay next game." you tell him and he nods.
He then says, "you're not paying."
You frown which makes him grin, but you drop the subject as the table beeps.
Jonah grabs the puck and places it on the surface, and you smile as you confidently wait for him to start.
You have always been good at air hockey and can't remember the last time you lost, but you can definitely remember the last time you lost at rock, paper, scissors.
Funny.
The puck goes soaring across the table, but you don't waste half a second to hit it back and make sure Jonah doesn't score.
The game continues and you get a point as Jonah accidentally scores on himself.
You laugh as Jonah looks confused at what he'd done, and he shakes his head.
"That doesn't count." he smiles as he takes out the puck and you two continue to play.
You score again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
He scores.
Just kidding.
You score again.
"So how did I meet the best air hockey player in the world?" Jonah asks you, and he's clearly flustered.
"I met the worst air hockey player. Talk about our luck." you smile at him and the table's lights flash.
"Another round?" you ask him, raising your eyebrow.
"Of course." Jonah smiles and you insert the coins.
You score in a matter of two minutes.
You score three more times, and you only need to score once more to win the round.
"Hey, look a dog!" Jonah exclaims and you turn around instantly.
Jonah scores.
And lied.
"You cheater!" you exclaim in defeat.
He only gives you an innocent smile, the type that could practically fool everyone and anyone.
But in the end, you won.
Jonah walks over to you, and he nods.
"You didn't score more times than I've bought Chipotle. Although, I definitely see your point." he points out.
"A classic move of telling me there's a dog to distract me." you reply to him, and he snickers.
"Let's get these tattoos on." Jonah tells you as he takes them out of his pocket.
"I think these are the ones that need a damp towel." you tell him as you hold your tattoo package in your hand.
"No problem." Jonah tells you and leaves the arcade.
You confusedly watch him walk away.
Not long after, Jonah returns while holding damp paper towels in his hands and he's grinning.
"Ready?" he asks you, excitement glimmering in his eyes.
You chuckle and nod.
You two proceed to putting on the tattoos.
The spot you two agrees on was the shoulder, the right one to be exact.
You two then walk out the theatre, but you make a comment before you part ways.
"It was fun. Thank you for inviting me."
"Not as fun as a date could be... that's of course if you'd let me take you on one." Jonah smiles.
"Friday?" you ask him.
"I'll text you the details. I'll see you then, y/n." Jonah smiles.
You smile back at him and walk to your car, grinning.
