I've been getting more reads and I'm starting to get excited! :3 I really hope you guys like this chapter. It's longer, but also darker...I wrote this chapter to show the readers Kat's situation. I won't have many chapters like this, but I wanted people to understand what she's been going through. Some people may find this chapter triggering so proceed with caution.

The rest of Kat's week was long and she was honestly starting to feel slightly curious. The boy who introduced himself as Jake was popping up more and more throughout her days. She realized she had three classes with him which she hadn't noticed until recently even though they had been in the three same classes all year. Kat just usually kept her head low, but now that he was approaching her at lunch she kept an eye out for him. There was something about this tall attractive boy that Kat couldn't pin point. He actually seemed interesting in her and this was something that bewildered her. Why would a guy like him want to know a girl like her? She would go home every day after school and stare at herself in the mirror searching for a reason as to why he may like her and she came to the conclusion it was probably not for her appearance. Some would say that Kat was pretty with her dark hair contrasting with her ivory skin, she had been compared to Snow white in the past, but she wasn't able to see the resemblance.
For the past couple days, Kat hadn't sat alone in the corner at lunch because Jake continued to accompany her and even though he did most of the talking, she enjoyed having someone at her side. She would listen quietly and politely to what he had to say. He would talk about how he aced a test, how his day was going so far, or some funny story he wanted to share about his friends. She was beginning to relax more and more around him. Did that mean she trusted him? No. She didn't and she couldn't. Kat couldn't even trust her own father anymore...
As the school week came to an end, things took a turn for the worst. It was on a Friday night that the she was sitting in her room on her bed humming the tune of a song she had heard on the radio that morning on her way to school, she was doing her english homework letting her mind wander. English was always the easiest class for her so she hardly had to think when she worked. Her mind drifted to Jake as she did her homework absentmindedly. She was so deep in thought and her mind was so far away from the present moment that she didn't hear her door creak open. It wasn't until her book was pushed roughly out of her hands that she was brought back to the present and noticed her father hovering over her. His cheeks were red, his eyes were glazed over, and he reeked of alcohol. "You look just like her, you know." He said referring to her mother.
Kat didn't say anything as her heart started beating faster. Her breath hitched and she glanced at him, he stared at her for a moment before slapped her hard across the cheek. Kat's eyes widened and she pressed a palm to her burning cheek and her eyes stung with tears. She could feel the bed shift as her dad crawled on top of her, his eyes dark and lustful.
"D-dad. Please...I'm your daughter." She pleaded hoping that somehow she could bring back her old dad. The dad she had before her mom left. The dad that would allow her to sleep in bed with him whenever she had nightmares, watch movies on the couch till midnight on weekends, the dad who loved her. The person he once was disappeared a long time ago.He gripped her wrists in an iron grasp that made Kat whimper as he pinned her wrists above her head. She struggled beneath him wanting to scream and call out, but knew that no one would be able to hear her. He started to rock back and forth grinding his hips against hers as he straddled her. "Please stop." She whispered. "Shut up." He growled glaring down at her before smashing his lips to hers roughly. He forcefully held her to the bed so she couldn't move underneath him. Kat didn't return the kiss as a single tear streaked her face. Her heart was pounding in her chest and she felt like she was going to be sick. No, her dad had never raped her, but he always had gotten close to which was the worst part because the fear and anticipation that filled her when she wondered when he would take that step was unbearable. He still had her pinned to the bed as he moved his hand up her shirt.
She was completely helpless and hopelessness was sinking in making her feel faint with fear. Kat knew that she didn't stand a chance against him, but that didn't stop her from trying to push him off of her. She pushed, kicked, squirmed, and screamed. All the while he grabbed, groped, kissed, and moaned. All she could do was lay there crying as he did this to her hoping that it would end. When he finally seemed to have gotten enough pleasure from fondling her body and found the desire to drink some more, left her half naked in fetal position sobbing to herself. Kat went to the shower once she was positive that her dad had gone to sleep and attempted to wash the filth away though the feeling of his grubby hands grabbing at whatever they could remained. Kat went to bed feeling dirty inside and out, she crawled underneath the sheets and cried until her throat felt completely raw.
Kat spent the rest of the weekend curled up in her bed not bothering to move, she didn't dare leave her room except at night when she could be sure that her father was sleeping. Everything was a blur as she got to school on Monday. She managed to keep a straight face as she endured class lectures and Sara's gossip. It was at lunch knowing that Jake would find her that she couldn't keep a straight face anymore. "How was your weekend?" He asked the first question since last monday when he first sat by her and asked her name. Kat tensed and he must have noticed because he looked up at her with his brows furrowed in what looked like concern. "Kat?" He asked softly and reached out a hand to touch her.
This simple movement made her snap. "Don't touch me! Don't you even think about touching me!" She screamed and suddenly all eyes were on her in the cafeteria.Jake looked at her scared as he stood, "Kat..." He whispered, but Kat bolted. She couldn't handle his questions nor could she handle everyone staring at her. She ran down the hall in no general direction as the tears she had been holding back started streaming down her face. Nobody came after her leaving Kat alone to cry as she finally came to a stop and sank down against a locker.
