"Noah, ready?" Danielle knocked on the young man's door as she stood impatiently in the red carpeted hallway. "You don't wanna miss the full moon!"

"Yep!" Noah replied, exiting his apartment and jingling his key chains as the white door clicked lock. "Emerald. Let's go."

The two strolled over to the opposite side of the red carpet, where Emerald's apartment door was open by a gap.

"Don't worry, Helga's not home today," Danielle reassured, her long, brown hair draping like a waterfall. "Benjamin will meet us at the Woods."

"Seriously, how did you even get a roommate at all?!" Noah complained as he familiarized himself with the girl's fridge, reaching out for a bottled tomato juice. "You know, you weren't even that into socializing!"

"Look, I told Helga I was an undercover cop," Danielle replied, standing in front of the full-body mirror and as she tied her hair into two, streamy twin tails. "Her imagination was commendable."

"It's about time," Noah reminded as he bit off the cap of the bottled tomato juice and took several large gulps. "I'm getting thirsty."

"Don't forget your stone," Danielle reminded as she reached for her silver dagger hidden in the draping side of her long scarf. "Let's go."

Together, they made their way to the balcony, the girl reached out her white gloved hands and took a deep breath as Noah straightforwardly placed both of his foot on the railing.

The toes curving inwards a bit too much, almost the shape of a claw.

With that, he jumped upwards and formed a diving position as the night wind soared past him.

He clenched tight to the gemstone between his hands. It's a garnet, approximately 3cm long, 2c wide, and 1cm thick.

Woosh.

Noah's figure contracted as it dove upwards again.

Two brownish wings flopped out from under his arm as his fingers formed claws. His legs shrank, too, and his toes officially became claws.

He's now a bat.

But however, clearly not a normal bat. The eyes are open, and the fangs sticking out are neatly tended with a comfortable length. The pupils of the flashing eyes are red.

Bloody red, just like the garnet.

"Your turn!" Noah called back, his voice the same. Danielle sighed as Noah flew to face her. Instead of doing a fancy dive her companion did, she sat on the railings and inhaled another lungful of fresh, night air.

Purple mist emerged from around her as her hair, between the gusts of mist, became greener and silkier. Her crystal canine teeth grew longer into what's evidently fangs. Just her nails stretched out and carved into one of the many scratches on the railing, her eyes flashed red and almost immediately, merged into two Emeralds.

She pushed off the railing and fell straight down, unlike Noah. She continued to fall as her chartreuse scarf drifted along. Woosh, as the purple mist diffused, a bat flew out next to Noah.

The two bat vampires looked at each other. From the perspective of mankind, they're basically identical, except for the fact that Noah has garnet-like eyes and Emerald has Emerald-like eyes. She also had a small bracelet near the end of her right claw, there is only one ornament, a peridot around half the size of a table tennis ball.

The two glided across the night sky, they soared up the mountain landform and finally arrived their destination, where a juvenile with black, wavy hair was standing.
