I waited patiently for J to come into his office, since he'd asked me to meet him in here... around half an hour ago. This guy thinks he can take all the time in the world, but if you're like thirty seconds late he'll fry your brains.

And I'm not kidding, I've seen him do it to his henchmen.

"Sorry I took so long princess." I heard J say as he entered the room.

Right now I'm sitting in his large leather chair, and it's super comfy, no wonder why he never lets me sit in it. As J walked over to me I spun the chair around and he beckoned me to get out. Ha ha ha. No.

"Nuh ah Mr J, I got here first. You were late so I get the chair." I said as I rested my feet up on his desk.

I fear as though I'm getting a little too confident with him, despite the fact that I'm his girlfriend I know he won't hesitate to punish me. At least I think so, who knows maybe he won't.

"Fine then, if you're going to be like that."

J walked over to me and scooped me up in his arms and lifted me up, then he sat in the chair and put me on his lap. God dammit!

"Hey no fair, that's cheating." I pouted.

"Nothing is ever fair Haylee, you just have to live with it." He said in a really serious tone

"You also have to live with the fact that this is my chair, not yours." He then smirked, all the seriousness instantly disappearing.

I rolled my eyes then rested my head on his chest. J placed a few pieces of paper down on the desk and spread them out for us to look at.

Skimming over the plan I see something about holding the mayor hostage in some warehouse and forcing him give give us something. I dunno, J's handwriting isn't the neatest in the world.

"What exactly is it that we're doing?" I ask him as I lean forward to look at the papers properly.

"Tonight we give the mayor a visit and... um... well let's just say tell him to give us a shit load of money or else we'll kill him and his family. That or we'll blow up a huge part of the city, I haven't decide yet."

I turned my head to look at him as he stared down at the papers with a huge smile on his face. Damn, he's serious about this. He's actually planning to kill the mayor and his family if he doesn't go along with this. That, or he'll take the lives of half the city

"Sounds... fun." I turned my gaze away from him and stared down at the floor.

I felt J shift a bit and felt his gaze now on me. I've been fine with all the other things we've done, because I've never killed anyone. But now i... i just can't. And i know there's no changing his mind on this.

"You okay princess?"

I got off his lap and made my way out of the room, ignoring his calls for me. I picked up my pace and headed towards my room, not wanting to talk to him about this.

I mean, he wouldn't understand He doesn't care if someone dies or not, unlike me. I was suddenly pulled to a stop as J gripped onto my waist, though not strong enough to hurt me.

"Haylee, what's wrong?"

"I just... i don't know. I don't feel like killing the mayor is -"

"You're not getting cold feet on me, are you?" He had a threatening tone in his voice, one that sent shivers down my spine.

I tightly closed my eyes and held my breath. He'll hurt me if I say yes, no doubt about that. But that's not my true answer. I love this life and I'm definitely not going back. But I still can't bring myself to killing people.

I try to hold back the tear that's threatening to come out, but of course I fail. The tear rolls down my cheek and eventually drops onto the floor. I wipe away the water works and turn to face him, trying to look as confident as possible.

"You know that's not the case. I'm completely devoted to this life, to being with you. How could you ever think that!"

I try my best to turn this situation on him, but I know it doesn't work. J removes his hand from my hip and crosses his arms, a now scary serious look on his face. Geez, if he didn't look threatening before, he sure as hell does now.

"Don't try and turn this on me. Now answer my question."

"No! I'm not getting cold feet! But I can't bring myself to kill someone!" I shout in his face before I attempt to storm off, but he grabs my hand and prevents me from doing so.

"I'm not going to force you to do anything you don't want to... yet. But you have to try Haylee, otherwise this isn't going to work."

I nod slowly and drop my gaze to the roller skates on my feet. They're actually a lot easier to use than you think, either that or it's a Quinn thing. J caressed my cheek with his fingers, signalling me to look back up at him.

"You'll be fine princess, you're an absolute natural at all this. To be honest you're much better than Harley."

I doubt that's true, and I'm sure he's only saying that to make me feel better. But hey, I'll take a compliment any day of the week. With a smirk on my face I playfully punched him on the shoulder, pushing him back slightly.

"Yea, sure. Whatever ya say Mistah J." I said in a sarcastic cheerful tone as I spun around and continued skating down the hallway.

I picked up my pace once i heard him following me. J then snaked his arms around me and pulled me against his chest. I felt him press his lips against the back of my neck, then laced his fingers with mine and we continued down the hallway.

 "Come on, let's go."

We made our way out to the garage and we got into the Lambo. J sped off towards the richer side of Gotham, where the mayor lives. I'm still nervous about this, but i have to push the nerves aside.

Eventually we pulled up in front of a tall apartment building, and my guess is our little friend lives in the pent house up top. As we both got out of the car, four vans pulled up and six men got out of each, all of them being our henchmen.

The henchmen barged through the doors and shoot anyone in our way. J demanded them to head up stairs and clear out the building, killing anyone who isn't the mayor.

"So what did you need the money for? Didn't we get enough on the heist last week?" i asked as we headed upstairs.

"I need it to buy  you a special something." J looked over at me and winked, a small smirk on his face.

"Ya know ya don't have to do that." I stated as we made it to the pent house.

"Anything for my princess."

J pulled me into a quick kiss then kicked down the door. Gripping tighter onto my bat, we slowly walked inside, scanning around the room for the mayor.

"Oh mister mayor! Come out!" I called out, highly doubting he'd actually listen.

"You won't find him."

J and i snapped our attention back to the door, where a tall and unfortunately familiar figure stood. God dammit Batsy!
