Chapter 7: Small talks

Narrator's POV

"Woah, hey! You can't do that!" Beast boy scowled as they played a video game with their nonstop pressing with controllers.

"Oh, yes I can!" Luke replied excitedly as he pressed his controller furiously.

It was 8 PM and none of them were productive; Raven thought as she sat helplesssy on the couch.

After having too much video games and noises, Raven stood up and had the urge to be in a quiet room where she can meditate peacefully, but then she remembered that she wasn't at the Titan's tower.

She then froze and had a debate with her mind whether to ask Luke if she could stay in a room or not, so not to disturb him or something.

"It's past bedtime, aren't you two planning to get a rest?" she calmly reminded as she waited for a response.

"Aw, come on! I lost? Could we go again?" Beast boy whined as he was giving the puppy dog eyes.

Raven rolled her eyes, expecting that they didn't hear a word she said. This is like living with two Beast boys ; she grumbled to herself.

"Get to sleep, dude! We've been playing this video game for hours! And you can't help that I'm winning and you losing." Luke laughed teasingly in reply.

"He never gets to win." Raven scoffed behind. Even back at the tower, he couldn't win against Cyborg. Only often times, maybe.

"Hey! I beated Cyborg for um ... one ... two ... I guess, three!" Beast boy replied as he counted with his fingers trying to remember.

"Just get over it. Could we like sleep? Now?" Raven demanded as she rolled her eyes in frustration.

The boys stared at her as they turned their heads behind the couch. "Alright, alright. You can use the spare room at the left just across my room." Luke said as he pointed the room.

Great! Now, she can keep her mind in peace and leave this house mentally! She cheered in her mind.

She levitated in the room and was about to close the door, until Beast boy placed his hand on the door, blocking it.

"What?" she growled as she gave him a frustrated look.

"I'm going to sleep, what's the matter with you?" he raised an eyebrow. Confused, she raised an eyebrow at him as well.

"Well, this is my room. Sleep with Luke." she attempted to close the door but he pressed on the door harder. She then realized that they were pushing each other's side of the door.

"I think I forgot to mention that you two should sleep on the left room. Silly me." Luke replied faintly at the kitchen.

"You have got to be kidding me." she muttered to herself. Furious, she levitated towards the kitchen and told him, "Luke, you can't make Beast boy sleep in a room with me, it's ridiculous."

"Look, you two are visitors and I have my own room, I can't share it with someone else. Besides, you two know each other for a long time while I just met you this morning!" he explained.

Luke gave a tsk! before turning his back on Raven and went back to making coffee.

Looks like she has no choice but to sleep with a horrible person. She levitated back to the room and saw Beast boy in the room.

The room had a single bed and a wide space, but some corners are full of boxes. This must have been Luke's storage. The room had a window at the side with a view of the streets and at the corner, a dusty, old table covered with webs.
