Beast Boy's POV

I went off the kitchen and quietly hummed while looking through fridge. I was hungry.

Disappointed, I closed the fridge. There was nothing in fridge besides meat. If Cyborg were here, he'd be stuck here in the kitchen for the whole day.

Luke had been visiting Mr. Brown lately because of his state in palpitation and suffocation. Raven had been practically meditating in the room and would scowl at me to leave the room because she needs peace. She said she never gets peace with me around.

I plopped myself on the couch and nomchalantly switched the TV on. If I was to play video games, it's too boring to play alone. I wanted someone who would earnestly play hard to beat my score and play around with me. I sighed deeply and tried not to drowse on the couch.

"Beast boy," Raven's voice called from behind, "are you watching or sleeping your head off?"

I snapped, "No, of course not. Watching, of course." I pressed and switched to other channels.

Raven felt depressed and stressed. She would always look cold, dry and blank. But her expression looked different. It's somehow stressed and irritated.

She would frown and grimace at herself for no reason. What's gotten into her?

She was of course serious over the case at Mr. Brown's robbery. It was very interesting, okay I admit. But it was way stressful and a pain in the butt to deal with it.

I let out a loud yawn as I stretched and morphed into a cat and wriggled myself on the sofa, "Ahh. It's been a long time since I morphed into something."

It was long enough since I mirphed into something. I couldn't expose this power in front of people in this dimension according to Luke. He needed us to look normal-ish people who didn't have powers in order to survive. Raven must be pretty bummed about it. She uses her powers to eat, drink, read, hold something else, fight, everything. She smacks people with her powers, she puts her soul into her powers when concentrating in an object. Now, watching her eat, drink, fight with bare hands was quite rare. She would typically walk instead of levitating around and the cloak's not necessary. Luke would always scowl at Raven to loosen up the cloak and wear decent clothes. Raven would always argue back that her cloak's decent and clean which results to bickering.

I paid no attention to what's happening right now and only felt the easiness of the couch as I laid comfortably on it.

"Move." Raven coldly said. I looked up, she was wearing her cloak. Her hood's on and her eyes fell behind it. She glared at me like those typical glares I get when I piss her off even with no reasons.

I morphed back to human form and moved to my left, giving her enough space to sit.

She sat down and crossed her arms haughtily. I looked at her with such confusion and gazed at her. I couldn't figure out her expression since her hood obscured her face.

"You look bummed." I started as I watched the TV absentmindedly.

It took seconds for her to respond, "As long as you're around." she coldy replied.

"Well, then, why sit here when you're bummed around me?" I hastily asked. It sounded typical; believe me.

She breathed heavily and let out a faint sigh, "It's better to look bummed than lonely, you know."

I flinched, it was a new side of Raven. I always thought she felt lonely since she spends her whole day in her room back at the tower, meditating and reading boring old books. When she said she was betrayed by some hero from the book that she read, pain was written in her expression. She have always thought that she was creepy, and no one thought she wasn't.
