Chapter 19: Luke's Visitors

Raven's POV

I noticed it was night as I opened my eyes from my meditation. I was still on my lotus position as I looked at the room's window. I was meditating for 2 hours. That's good enough for me to let my mind in peace.

I stood on the ground and sighed slowly. I walked silently towards the door and hoped that there won't be another chaos. I held the door knob and was ready to twist, until

"Raven! Raven?"

Beast Boy swiftly pushed the door open as I was pressed hard between the wall and the door, enough for my body to get squeezed.

"Beast...Boy." I said in between my grunts.

Beast boy pulled the door away from me which I thought it was a relief. I gasped for air and glared at Beast boy. I swear I'm going to take his soul away from his body when I get the chance.

"Oh, sorry." he muttered.

"There is a reason why a knock is called." I said dryly as I rubbed my shoulder.

"Oh, uh, sorry. I was going to ask, will Zoe sleep here?"

"Of course, where do you want the kid to sleep, on the couch? I'd rather let you sleep on it than the kid." I cocked an eyebrow.

"Oh, right." he rubbed his neck, "Yeah, you can come in." he called to Zoe.

Zoe came running inside and plopped on the bed, "Finally, bed!"

"You're sleeping with Beast Boy, Zoe." I said.

Beast boy gaped at me, "Are you serious?"

"I can't let her sleep on the bed because I can't sleep with you, idiot. I can't let her sleep with me because I don't like kids sleeping with me. I can't let you sleep on the bed because I don't want to."

Beast boy gave a glance at Zoe, "Hoo boy. Zoe, let's get you sleeping on the floor."

Zoe played with her legs and giggled before coming down on the floor. Beast boy laid the matress and let Zoe tuck into the blankets and pillows. I stood there as I watched them tuck each other to bed.

There's still a part of me that hated kids, I'm not really fond of them. It's like taking over a huge responsibility of just watching a small creature, and then you'd compare it with your responsibility of kicking villain butts and being the only portal from another dimension which may resume the world's end.

I always thought kids were annoying and there is no reason for me to be responsible for them.

"Aren't you going to sleep?" Beast boy asked.

"Maybe later. I need some tea." I replied as I walked out of the room.

I shuffled across the house with my so called - pajamas. I can't believe I'm wearing this kind of thing. The living room was quiet and lights are off. I guess Luke must haven't come back yet from his walk.

I guess there are reasons why we were here in the first place. Although I'm not sure what reasons. I feel like slowly getting depressed as the day shortens before we could even reach Jump City. I wanted to go home. No matter how annoying the Titans can be, how annoying my life was back there, I guess ... it'll always be better than being in here, stuck at nowhere.

I went back in the room with a cup of tea. This time, I let my powers take over me once again. I needed to keep my powers wandering around; it keeps me alive.

A black orb enveloped the cup of tea as it levitates beside me. I let my power took over the cup and embraced it. It was such a long time since I have ever used my powers again; thanks to Luke.
