After the police left for inspection, Beast boy, Luke and Raven marched around the house for clues.
"B-but, how did the robber escaped?" Beast boy shivered.
"All windows in the room were shut, only the boxroom has a window that wasn't fastened, but it the window was too small, not anyone could fit in there. If you have such a small figure, you can definitely fit. But judging from the handprints and footprints, the robber is too large to fit in such a small window." Raven explained as she pondered deeply.
"What if he opened the window from a room then went out before shutting them again?" Luke asked.
"Possible." Raven replied. "Let's ask them."
The three ran off to the house where there were 'Police line do not cross' signs.
"Oh my, why don't you kids ran along now? It's too dangerous for you." said Hilda as she was too traumatized with what happened.
"We wanted to know what happened. So, do you mind us asking questions?" Raven asked politely.
"Well, okay. I guess I can't help it." Hilda sighed.
"Before the robbery, do you always keep the windows shut?" Raven asked.
"Well, not only shut. Locked is the best term. It was because Mr. Brown's granddaughter had a very terrible accident with the windows." Hilda explained with her high feminine tone.
"What accident?" Beast boy asked as he raised an eyebrow at Hilda.
"Jenny broke her leg after jumping from that window and landed at the backyard. It was too high for a person to jump from that level!" Hilda cried as she shuddered.
"Well, that makes sense." Raven muttered to herself.
"Is there anyone who visits the house besides Chip the Baker?"
"Oh yes - The mailman and the milkman often comes here. They deliver mail and milk for the master. They very much know the condition of Mr. Brown - he wouldn't shuffle around with his condition, goodness!" Hilda explained.
"Do you mind us looking around the rooms? We were witnesses of the crime, I believe." Luke asked politely.
Hilda nodded and see to it that the police have thoroughly investigated the rooms.
The three climbed up the stairs and opened every room, they went in the first room.
It was a Mr. Brown's room; judging from the room's appearance and how the furniture was organized.
"There's a large footprint here." Beast boy noticed as he entered the room. The footprint looked like boots with rubber heels. And there's a huge handprint on the wall, goodness! Luke surveyed the print, it looks like the thief wore gloves while doing his dirty work.
Raven snooped around quickly, she noticed that the stolen goods were mainly jewelries, nothing much to that.
The three then entered the second room, it was Mr. Brown's granddaughter Jenny's room. Her room was bright with her pink wall and a huge bed. There was nothing much in here but scattered clothes, the thief must have been snooping in her cabinet.
There were few prints, but not as worse at Mr. Brown's room. Raven eventually shuffled towards the window, it was completely locked! No matter how she budge into it, it won't open. She then noticed a key hole at the window. Just like Hilda says, she keeps the windows locked. Raven peeked at the window - it was high and there are no balconies to land on.
Then they came in to the spare room, it was empty. Just few old furmitures covered in cobwebs that they must have stuffed in. The window was locked too.
