Chapter 23: Break free

Beast boy struggled, he felt his force on his blow was cut off.

"Long time no see, BB." the half human and robot said.

"Sorry we took so long." the guy in a mask emerged from the darkness.

"Are you alright, friends Beast Boy and Raven?" the slim Tamaranian followed behind.

"Aww, a reunion." Cobra cooed, "But right now, I have business with this brat." he snickered and jumped off the window with the six year old, Zoe.

Raven gasped as she tried to run and catch up, but by the time she peered into the window...Cobra was gone. Zoe was gone. And now how are they supposed to get home? She can't leave Zoe on that pest's arms. She has to bring her back.

Raven grasped for air as she nervously breathed. Everything was going wrong. Beast boy ruined everything. Everything. He gave up Zoe for just a petty reason.

Meanwhile, Beast boy winced and bents down to ground as he held his head. "Argh!" Beast boy grunted in pain as his eyes returned to normal. His snake looking eyes going back to his normal green round eyes and his human form. He blinked several times before glancing up.

"C-Cyborg?" Beast boy uttered, "What happened?"

Beast boy couldn't remember what was going on. All he remembered was that they were attacked while they were playing videogames. He can't remember a thing.

"Raven!" he called out as he dashed to the angry Titan, "We were attacked and I-"

Stay away." she said in a very low voice, "Don't touch me."

Beast boy subdued.

Raven gave a loud huff of sigh as she grows impatient. This was the time she couldn't keep her emotions in check. It was clearly a wrong timing - now that they're here; complete, and this time Zoe is gone.

"Stay away from me." Raven warned, turning her back on Beast Boy, "You gave Zoe away and now we're all helpless. We can't return to Jump City because of you!" Raven sounded seriously mad. Not just for goofing off or anything but she was really disappointed and upset.

"But I was controlled!" Beast boy didn't know anything about what she was trying to say. All he remembered was he tried to protect Zoe during the ambush. But Beast Boy stayed silent anyway and listened to her painful words. Interjecting her would make her even more upset.

Raven, ranging with anger, stomped out of the room. It felt like she was about to give in, her emotions are about to go out of control. And without her emotions controlled, her power weakens. She was starting to feel hopeless.

Meanwhile, back at the room. The four were still silent. Although the other three titans had no idea what was going on.

"You were just about to take a blow on Raven. What the hell are you thinking?" Cyborg said as he kept his bulky body beside the two other Titans.

"Wait, what?" Beast boy exclaimed incredulously. He couldn't remember a thing about hitting her.

"If I didn't stop you from that blow, Raven could have been seriously injured." Cyborg explained.

Beast boy threw his hands on his head.

"What's going on?" Beast boy grunted. He felt his mind was about to explode for some reason. He couldn't believe he tried to hurt Raven for whatever reason. After keeping a word that it was his job to protect his fellow titan, he was ashamed.

"I'm a beast." he uttered to himself. He looked into his green hands and kept a low glance. He felt like he was being controlloed the whole time. He was controlled, alright. He remembered looking at Cobra's eyes and eventually hypnotizing him. How is he suppose to explain this all?
