Beast Boy's POV
Raven sat motionless at the yard and scans the place and every customer the garage sale gets. Every customer, every behavior and every expression.
I morphed into a bird and sat on the tree above her as I watched her below. Her arms folded in a strict way and earnestly snaps her head around.
"Get down here." Raven called, still on her position, "Beast Boy."
Raven was always like this, you can never hide any stuff from her! She knows and sense everything.
I flapped my wings as I hopped off the tree and went down.
"Oh, man." I morphed into my human form, "You're no fun"
Raven cocked an eyebrow at me haughtily, "I thought you said you wanted to snoop around inside. Where were you?"
"I was inside snooping around." I talked back.
"So, is the yard considered an inside?" she sarcastically argued.
"Dude, I was inside. Really." I argued.
She narrowed her eyes at me suspiciously still with her arms crossed.
"What, you think I'm lying? Oh, come on." I rolled my eyes.
"You've been doing something." Raven suspected as her eyes narrowed more at me.
"Seriously, Raven. Send me to another dimension or what, I'm telling the truth." I grinned.
She lifted an arm and black orbs started surrounding me and tied me around like tight ropes. She was using her powers on me.
"I guess you do think I'm lying." I chuckled, hiding the pain the orbs gave.
Raven's eyes turned black, "Where were you?" she drawled, "You've done something other than snooping around, you didn't caused trouble, did you?"
I gritted my teeth with pain and hid it with a smirk, "If that's what you want to know.." I grunted as the orbs twisted my hands and legs tighter, "2 Rods, 1 Smith."
Raven lets go and the orbs finally disappeared with her desire. I gave a wheezy cough and gasped for air. My muscles felt slightly unbelievably paralyzed.
Raven narrowed her eyes at me confusingly, "What?"
"2 Rods, 1 Smith. You don't get it too?" I said between my wheezy cough.
Raven was getting impatient and started babbling sarcastic words, "Beast boy, you know your talking nonsense, right?"
"Huh?!" I exclaimed, "Does it look nonsense to you?"
"Sort of." Raven grumbled, "Start talking something coherent."
"There were tiny pieces of paper left at the back door. 2 Rods, 1 Smith, it says." I rubbed my throat.
"What happened inside?" she asked me in her monotone voice.
"I met Detective Rick inside. He said he got it from his fellow police when they were investigating the place." I replied.
Raven was full of question marks in her head, another clue has added on her mind. Kicking villain butts are way better than solving these puzzles.
I crossed my arms as I waited for her response.
"Oy! You're here to sit and watch the garage sale? I thought you were going to buy?" Chip barked from the back door. He was upset, apparently.
"We've been doing investigations from the recent robbery." Raven replied dryly.
