Inferno

Chapter Seven

I run down the stairs and swing around the corner into the kitchen.

“MUM! Olly is getting back today!”

“Who?”

“Olly! From primary school!”

“You remembered?”

“Yeah! I have been counting down the days.”

“For seven years?”

“Yup! I said that we’d meet him at the airport.”

“Oh darling, he won’t remember that. That was seven years ago. His mum probably hired a taxi.”

“Well I want to at least greet him.”

“Okay, okay.”

“But we have to leave now because the times are all messed up because his plane is from London.”

“Okay, we’d better go then. Sarah, I’ll be back soon.” My mum yells upstairs.

“Okay mum.” I hear Sarah yell back down.

We get in the car and then start to drive to the airport. I am jumping in my seat the whole way there. When we get there I tell my mum to park in the most visible spot and then we wait.

After five minutes or so of waiting I see a familiar face come out of the arrivals section of the airport.

“Olly!” I yell as he and his mum walk out of the airport. I run towards him and in an attempt to hug him I slap him in the face. I cup my hands over my mouth to hide my smirk.

“Sorry…” I say slightly laughing. “How was it?” I ask him getting a hold of myself.

“Fine.” he replies tiredly.

“Just fine?” I ask.

“Well I missed dad but mum was happy away from him.”

“Oh. Well we gotta go.”

“Okay.” Olly says getting in the car.

Mine and Olly’s mum sit in the front and we sit in the back.

“You are going to fit right in with my new friends.”

“What about the our old primary school friends?”

“They changed, a bunch of bastards and sluts.”

“I knew that would happen.”

“Ash!” My mum says  back to me on hearing my reply.

“Sorry mum.”

We get to Olly’s Old house and drop him off.

“See you at school Ash.” Oliver says on exiting the car.

“Bye Olly.”

We back out of the driveway and drive home. I run up the stairs to my room.
