Chapter 4: After School

The final bell rang to end class. Alex texted Maggie first thing.

"What's your address?" Alex texted.

"Look in your science notebook." Maggie texted back.

"Why?"

"Just do it Danvers."

Alex flipped her notebook open to the notes from today. At the top of the paper was an address.

"No way!" Alex texted to Maggie.

"Yes way." Maggie texted back.

"But I had my notebook the whole time! When did you even-?"

"I have a lot of secrets Danvers. One of which is I'm a ninja."

"Me too."

Maggie stared at the last text in confusion. Suddenly someone came up behind her scaring her. She did a full 360 and saw Alex. She took heavy breaths still recovering from the scare.

"Dammit Danvers." Maggie said laughing.

"I guess we'll have to get to know each other better." Alex said.

"Which means spending more time together?"

"I guess so."

Both girls blushed bright red. Maggie got a text on her phone.

"My moms here. You wanna ride to my place?" Maggie asked.

"I've gotta catch up to Kara. See ya in a few." Alex asked.

"Absolutely."

**Back to when the final bell rang**

Kara was practically flying through the hallway she was running so fast. Before she turned the corner to Lena's locker she slowed down to a walk. Lena was already there waiting.

"Hey!" Kara said a little to enthusiastically.

"Ready to go?" Lena asked with a big smile.

"Yeah-..."

Kara's voice lowered as she saw Alex signaling for her to come over.

"Actually I've gotta do something first." Kara said.

"Okay...?" Lena replied.

Kara left Lena and turned the same corner she had just come around. Alex was frantically waiting.

"I'm going to Maggie's." Alex said.

"Really? That's great Alex! Are you gonna ask her out?" Kara replied.

"What?! Why would you say something like that?!" Alex asked nervously.

"I have x-ray vision Alex. I can see right through your diary."

"Kara!"

"Sorry!"

"Ughhh, I've gotta go meet up with Maggie. We'll talk later."

"Yeah, I've gotta go with Lena too."

The two girls parted ways to see where the night would take them.

**Alex's night**

Alex knocked on the wooden door. A man, assumingely Maggie's dad, opened it.

"Hi Mr. Sawyer! I'm Alex Danvers." Alex said shaking the man's hand.

"Danvers... I've heard a lot about you." Mr. Sawyer said.
