Lena POV
"I suppose we should talk." someone said closing my door behind them.
I spun around in my chair to be met with the one and only, Lillian Luthor.
"Mother..." I growled.
"Lena darling you really must stop that growling thing you do, it's really unattractive." she said sitting on my bed.
"I'm not trying to impress anyone." I stated fixing my posture and raising my chin high, attempting to look more powerful.
Lillian glances my way. "Oh come on now Lena I taught you to do that. Do you really think it'll work on me?"
She had a point. But I didn't let that waver me. I walked to my desk and tried to hide the files behind me the best I could.
"Care to tell me why you're here?" I asked.
She smirked standing up. You know villains in movies? How their smiles just never seemed right? Like there was something else they were plotting? Yeah, that's the famous Lillian smirk. Her strides were long and powerful as she walked towards me.
"Let's not play games Lena. Or should I say Experiment 5R-S7."
My heart quickened. I obviously knew Lillian was behind whatever it is that's happening to me but a part of me had reservations. As much as I hate her, she is family and deep down inside me I cared for her. But hearing it from her mouth only threw away those reservations and opened up room for questions.
"Y-you... I don't know what you're talking about." I stated confidentially.
Her smirk turned downward into a scowl. "Don't play child. Now sit." she said thrusting me into my desk chair.
"I never thought this is how you would find out." Lillian said taking a seat of her own. "It appears your smarter than I thought. Let's start from the beginning then shall we? Lex, Lionel, and I were at a family Christmas party on Christmas Eve when breaking news flashed on the TV. You and your mother were in a deadly car crash. Lionel was immediately concerned. Apparently he was a good 'friend' of your mothers."
"Wait how? I didn't meet Lionel until the adoption." I said confused.
"Oh right, I forgot we never told you. I'm sure your birth mother told you that your father left when you were born?"
I nodded my head yes.
"Well that's not a complete lie. Lionel was having an affair. He is your birth father. I, however, quickly found out and made him leave. You became a dream." she said smirking at me once again. I didn't take much notice as my head was spinning with this new information.
"Right so back to the crash. Once Lionel saw the news, he immediately grabbed Lex and I and drove to the hospital you two were being transported to. Your birth mother was declared dead upon arrival and you, you sat alone in the hospital lobby, your mother's blood covering you head to toe and your tiny arms clutching a tiny bear. After much argument, Lionel decided we would take you in." Lillian explained.
It was hard for me to process everything being said to me. It did fill in gaps of that memory I had. I started reviewing the facts in my head. Lionel is my real father. He had an affair with my mother. After the crash, and after my mother was declared dead, he adopted me. Holy shit.
"At first I was against this whole adoption thing but only a week later I noticed you weren't normal. You had powers. I looked into it further and was lead back to the crash. The water your car fell into was contaminated with some unknown chemical. I still don't know what sparked the chemical reaction to infuse the chemical with your blood but I tried to find out, as you saw in that video." she finished.
