She's Back

I was getting my bag ready for when I go into the hospital because I'm due in 3 weeks and I want to have it out of the way already. Layla helped me choose the baby's coming home outfit and I just threw anything in there for myself.

"You figure out what you wanna name her yet?" Layla asked after the bag was all the way together.

"No... I haven't chosen one yet. I'll figure it out the day of delivery." I shrugged not even thinking nothing of it.

"Oh. Where is Chris? I haven't seen him all day." She said as we went downstairs.

"He's shooting a music video, he said he'll be gone for some hours."

"How long has he been gone?"

"He been gone since like 8." I said and plopped on the couch.

"And it's like 4 in the afternoon, how long is it going to take for him to shoot it ? I know he won't be shooting the whole thing today."

"I don't know what he's doing, he'll be home soon though." I said not really thinking of it.

"Wanna go to the mall?" I asked, realizing how bored I was.

"I would say yeah but Justin is picking me up in another hour so maybe tomorrow?" She asked me

"No, I can't. Me and Chris are going to go get some more stuff."

"Well maybe another time" she said and sat back.

"Where is he taking you?"

"He said to meet his family so... wish me luck." She smiled

"You nervous?"

"Should I be?"

"I mean no, I wasn't nervous meeting his family. You being one of them, after being around him for so long I was comfortable enough to meet his family with no problem." I said reminiscing on when I first met his mom and the others.

"I guess I shouldn't be then." She shrugged.

"Well I'm hungry so I'll be back, I'm going to go get some five guys or something." I said and put Royalty onto my hip.

"It's fine, you can leave her here. I'm not leaving just yet."

"I know, I just know she can be a handful sometimes. I'll only be gone for 10 minutes" I said and grabbed my keys.

"That's more so why she should be left." She chuckled.

"It's fine , Layla. It really is. You have to get ready soon anyway." I said and headed to my car.

I buckled Royalty in and headed to get me something to eat.

I didn't mean any harm to Layla earlier it's just I don't know, I was just moody I guess and it came off wrong.

3 Hours Later

It's hours later and Chris hasn't called or texted me yet, I try not to constantly bother him because I know he's working pretty hard but he's been gone for hours, literally with no call or anything.

I was at home with just me and Royalty and I was looking at TV while she was asleep after I fed her and gave her a bath . Kind of bored and un ease feeling. Usually Chris would be here sleep on me or messing with me but he's still gone and it's worrying me. I decided I should text first and then maybe give him a call if he takes too long to reply.

You okay? I haven't heard from you in hours.

I waited for at least 10 minutes to see if he'd reply and there wasn't one.
