"Want me to open the door for you?"
I snorted, "Funny."
"Well I can't help it," Logan smiled, "you look like a princess right now. Not going to lie."
I rolled my eyes and opened the door and got out. I looked down at this piece of rubbish that Logan bought for me miserably. I swear that I would be murdered right away if I said that in the shop that we went to. I could hear that owner said in his strong French accent right now 'It is no junk, it's a vintage, strapless ice blue tulle dress.' This dress does not make me feel more mature, I feel like a stupid fairy girl.
I tried my best to ignore my one joke of a dress and decided to look around me instead. Logan parked us next to this white mansion with decorative lights on the trees and around the house itself. My nose could detect delicious smells of high class food and wine. I could hear loud laughter from inside the place. In the opposite there are nothing but trees and total darkness. I didn't notice that we might actually go in the Cullen's house. Are we?
"Come on," Logan said, "it's getting cold."
I nodded, following him. Logan held my hand and squeezed them, like he was trying to give me confidence. I squeezed back and blew air out of my mouth. I always do this when I'm nervous.
The door was already opened, which was smart because the people inside wouldn't hear the bell ring over the loud music anyway. To my surprise, a person I knew came up to great us.
"Laura," Logan released my hand to hugged the woman.
"Hey," she hugged him back, "glad you can make it."
"This is Lee," Logan introduced me after he releases her, "she's em-"
"I know," Laura smiled at me, "the pretty girl from Glamorous' latest issue." We shook hands; I guess we aren't close enough to hug yet. I'm not complaining.
"You complimented me too much," I said to her, trying to sound as modest as possible. It's also true, I'm not pretty, and it was all thanks to the makeup, expensive clothes, and camera effects.
"No," she patted me on the shoulder, "I know what I'm saying, and trust me. Why don't you two come over and have some food? Starving yourself is forbidden in my house."
We walked past a whole lot of people; most of them are dancing and talking in big groups. I noticed that they aren't celebrities, but models. I felt uncomfortable as their eyes looked me up and down but I tried my best to hide my nervousness.
Laura gave Logan and I a dish each, I thanked her and look at all the food on a long table. They must've looked more delicious without all the colorful lights giving me headache, and especially the songs. Gosh, does this Laura woman have any taste in music at all? I'm not asking her to play Metallica but come on, there's got to be something better than the song that is being played now. Plus, none of these guests look like they could appreciate slow classical music.
"By the way, Logan," Laura made a face like she just remembered something very important, "I've got the stuff you wanted upstairs, can you come with me to get them?"
Logan put his glass of champagne down on the table and turned to look at me. His eyes were trying to tell me something. Was he trying to ask me for permission? That's quite, what, cute?
I nodded, trying to tell him that I wouldn't commit a crime without him around. Logan gave me a smile before following Laura up the grand stairs. I just felt like we were like idiot trying to communicate with our eyes, seriously, who does that?
"Hey," someone tapped my shoulder. I startled because my shoulders are bare and it felt weird having someone touching them. I turned around, confused, and looked up at a blonde dude. I could tell that blonde isn't his natural hair color, since it looked so fake. But his overall feature isn't bad so I guess it doesn't matter.
"Can I help you?" I asked, placing my empty plate on the table. The dude put his hands on his pocket and flashed me a cocky smile. When Logan doesn't he was kind of cute, but this guy looks like a wannabe with that smile on his face. Oh yeah, I know that you're such a badass, stop acting like douche.
"I've never seen you here before," he began as you looked me up and down, "are you alone?"
He saw me talking to someone before he approached me? I'm standing alone this whole time because I'm alone. What is he blind? Can't he tell? This guy's an idiot. Talking to yourself is not normal either, Lee, stop it.
"Yeah, I'm alone," for now, probably.
"Good," without asking the dude just put his arm around my shoulders, "you looked bored of this place, why don't I drive you to somewhere more fun?"
I chuckled at the way he tried to seduce me. When I was thinking of a way to burn him with my words the guy was pulled away with another guy.
Unlike the blonde dude, this guy was taller and dressed all in black. His hair was dyed pitch black, which perfectly contrast with his flawless white skin. His grey eyes were sharp under his black-framed glasses. His face was emotionless as he twisted the dude's hand. Now that's real badass right there.
"Trying to get one for tonight, Luke?" The guy asked. Oh, so the blonde guy's name is Luke. What a shame. The name's too cool for him.
"Shut up, Wilson," Luke brushed the guy's hand away and turned to me, pissed, "you could've told me that you're with him." And with that he stormed away. I scoffed; this guy is stupid from the beginning to end. I can't go correct him now though.
Someone tucked me by the hand; it was the black haired guy. "You do look bored," he said shortly and pulled me out by the back door. Okay, he likes to pull people.
As soon as he opened the door, a rush of wind hit me. I breathed in the salty smell and smiled excitedly, the sea!
The guy let me go and walked ahead towards the sand. I stopped to take my white heels off and followed him. I was so tempted to walk into the water but I knew better than to wet the expansive clothes. The sea didn't look scary even though it's past nine at night because the moon's so bright; it made the sea looked beautiful and unreal.
"Thanks for back there," I told him, even though I don't think I needed any help.
The guy took too long to answer and I almost assumed that he didn't hear me, "I just don't want a minor to be harassed."
Now that's offensive, "I'm not a minor." I said.
"You don't look twenty to me."
"Wait two more years," I mumbled.
The guy turned to look at me, he looked amused. I shrugged and decided to kick the sand instead, well this is getting quite awkward now.
"Is Logan taking you home?" He asked.
"You saw me with him?" I asked back. He didn't answer, but instead he stared back up to the mansion. I followed his glance and grimaced at what I was looking at.
The mansion has two levels, and up on the balcony two people were kissing. I could tell that the girl in a pink dress was Laura.
And I could tell that the guy in suit was Logan.
