"Just stop here," I said to the taxi driver, "thank you," he nodded when he helped me getting my belongings out from his car. I gave him some money and remain unmoved until the taxi had drove out of my sight.

I swung my backpack on my back and dragged my luggage up the steps. Jesus, there weren't anything much inside but I swore this bag weights a ton.

I was already sweating when I arrived in front of a door. After reaching into my jean pockets, I couldn't help but cursed. I didn't have a key with me. I tried not to panic and lift up my wrist and check the time. It's almost five, and it's a Saturday, someone must be home. I rang the doorbell and wait, my heart pumping hard against my chest. My head was full of uncertainties. What if they don't want me? Where would I stay? I only have exactly fifty bucks with me. I don't have to sell one of my lungs to buy food, right?

I startled when the door was pulled open, "hi mum," my voice was quieter than earlier. My confidence literally reduced to zero when I got no reply.

I sneak a peek of her through my fringe, accidentally made a quick contact with Mum's eyes before avoiding them again. But I couldn't do that for long because I wanted to look at her again.

Mum sighed before spreading her arms, "C'mere," she said.

I leaned into her arms and inhaled her scent like a creep. Her embrace put me at ease and I was happy for that. The tightness of it made me feel wanted and loved. I hugged her back just as tightly before letting go.

"It's good to have you back, kiddo," mum slapped me in the back, "have you eaten anything?"

I laughed a bit, because it was weird to see mum being all caring and stuff when normally she wasn't the type to be doting on her children openly. "No," I replied while I pulled my luggage inside, "where're the twins?"

"Who knows," mum snickered, "soccer practice, probably."

I hesitated for a second before decided to ask, "did they...you know...know?"

Mum stopped on her track before turning around to face me. Her expression hardened, I was suddenly scared to hear her answer, "yes, they know," she said, "not just them though, the house phone kept ringing non-stop these few days it was bananas."

"Are they okay?" I asked some more, "did they get bullied at school? What about their phones?" I couldn't stop with the questions. The uneasiness came crushing down on me again. Leaving Logan is already hard enough, the thought of leaving my family make my stomach churned in distress, "oh god, they did receive mean texts." I said when mum didn't answer my question.

Suddenly, something heavy leaned against my back. A scent of fresh mud and grass hit my nose, making me turned around in surprise. The heavy thing lifted itself off my back, instead greeted me with its pair of moss green eyes.

I stared at Hunter, almost hungrily, trying to take in his image as much as I could. "Why are you staring at me so much?" His voice sounded deeper as he wiggled his eyebrows at me. I rolled my eyes and leaned into his arms, breathing in his smell like I did with mum. I am such a creep, I know.

Someone also came to hug me from behind too. I already knew who it was without turning around. This person's hug is different from Hunter, this one is more gentle but the affection it gave me is identical, "hello Heaven," I said and smile when I heard a soft hello in return.

I noticed mum standing from the corner of my eyes. She put her hands on her hips and stared at the three of us, one of her eyebrows raised up like she was asking me if I still doubt the twins. I didn't reply to her verbally, I only smile and shook my head slightly.
