I stood outside Logan's bedroom door and stared at it absentmindedly. For almost three weeks I've been in front of this door but I had never been inside. Logan always had cleaners into the apartment, so I never got to clean the house, let alone his room.
I wonder if he would let me in, after what happened this morning? He didn't take the news well than I was, to say the least.
After knocking three times on the wooden black door, I waited quietly. A loud noise like something hit the floor reached my ears and some shuffling followed before the door swung open, revealing a pissed-off Logan with a messy hair.
I was taken back by his appearance but Logan didn't wait for me to take them in at all. He scooped me up and took me into his room, closing the door with his foot.
Logan put me down on a king-size bed and suddenly I panicked a little. Okay, why the bed?
I looked around the room and felt like I was in a teenage boy's room rather than a grown man's. His room was a combination of black and blue. The walls were covered with movie and game posters, the shelves were placed with cameras, small car figures, and books which I assumed that would be all about filming.
Logan propped next to me and leaned on the bed board, "My mum's gone?" He asked me but his eyes were focusing on a rubric cube which I didn't know when he got in his hands.
"You think I would left Lisa downstairs alone and come into your bedroom?" I asked sarcastically.
He scoffed, "that would totally make everything better, wouldn't it?"
That got me to shut up. But after a second of nothing but the sound of Logan playing the toy made especially for geniuses I started talking again, "what are you going to do now?"
He ignored my question, "That blue idiot sent me the movie, you wanna see?"
That blue idiot? Does he meant Gunner? The subject of the movie got my attention though, "That fast? He really is a talented guy." No wonder why Andrea wanted to use him so much, sticking around Gunner for a bit and be in his movies would definitely get you to gain a few names.
Logan reached for his MacBook and dragged me to sit next to him against the board, "are you sure it's okay for us to see it before the competition?" I asked Logan.
He rolled his eyes, "then why in the hell did the guy send it to me then? To make out with it?" Logan smirked at his own question before turning to lift my chin up with his index finger, "I already have someone for that though."
I slapped his hand away, "show me the movie already."
"Okay, okay," Logan chuckled before clicking his mouse a few times and handed me an earphone. I took it and insert it into my left ear. Logan put the other one onto his right. The both of us lied down on our stomachs before starting the movie.
A Surgeon's Heart
"Nice opening," Logan nudged my shoulder with his when the title came up. I chuckled lightly at the white print on the black background. The title was slightly plain, not going to deny that, but I was too excited to care about that.
The title faded slowly, revealing a well-lit living room.
"Thank you very much for being here today."
A young interviewer smiled at a much older woman who was sitting opposite of him. The woman nodded and gave him a toothless grin.
"It's a pleasure. Feel free to ask anything you like." Her voice was full of kindness, just like her face.
