"Do you want me to take you home?"
"What?"
He rolled his eyes at me like I was an idiot. Hey, it was an expression, "I'm trying to be nice, and you look like you aren't doing so hot right now."
I scoffed like he was saying nonsense but I couldn't bring myself to look at him in the eyes. He was right, seeing Logan and Laura kissed was a-well-not exactly a shock, somehow I felt like I have been betrayed.
"Okay then," I said, "Let's go."
I'm not being easy here, but this Wilson guy's kind of okay. He doesn't look like the type that will, you know, taking an advantage of others after saving them.
As much as I hated it, there's no other way near here to return to the actual ground apart from going through the mansion itself. Wilson took me by the hand and led me towards the mansion. I ignored everything and focused on our entwined hands. His hand's cold, not so much different from the tone he uses with me and most of his gestures. But, there's a but, he's quite kind to me so far.
We almost made it to the front door when someone touched my shoulder. I stopped on my track and turned around, which caused Wilson to do the same.
It was Logan.
"Hey," He smiled at me, "where are you heading?"
"Your place." I was about to answer but Wilson beat me to it. Logan's smile disappeared as soon as he heard the guy. I grimaced as I look at Logan behind my bangs. Not only that Logan was no longer smiling, but he is somewhat... angry. I could tell from his eyes.
I was about to change my mind from going home with Wilson when Laura's arrival stopped me.
She was smiling at me, like Logan does, but it slowly faded away when she sees Wilson. She stared at him like he was a ghost.
Now, imagine if you are watching a movie. The scene on a low set, you are now looking up at four people looking at each other with a really intense music in the background. It's like a freakin' stupid romance movie and I couldn't help but hate every second of it.
"I don't know that you would be here," Laura was the first to break the intense silence. Her voice sounded more fragile than before and that made me nervous for no reason. She was talking to Wilson, if you are wondering.
"Of course," Wilson said coolly, like he's not uncomfortable with Logan and Laura's expressions earlier, "I have to be here to congratulate you. Congratulations for your hit advertisement, by the way. Now if you will excuse me, I have a child to drop off."
He showed Logan and Laura our clamped hands. I gulped as I saw Logan's eyes darken.
Wilson started to walk away, dragging me along. My eyes were still on Logan, he was about to follow me.
"Stay," I said, my voice was light and I was afraid that maybe he didn't hear it but I realized that I was wrong. Logan stopped and looked at me like he doesn't understand what I just said. I avoid his eyes by looking down and turned my back to him, walking away.
"Are you crying?"
Wilson asked after we've walked for a while. We're quite far from the mansion now and stopped near this expensive-looking white sport car.
I was taken aback by his straight forward question, "No, I'm not," I answered, "there's no reason for me to be, none at all."
-_-
"Why the hell did you come home with that guy?!"
I flinched as Logan practically yelled at my face. I avoided his eyes and tried to look somewhere else. Logan wouldn't have any of it; he grabbed my chin hard and forced me to face him. His blue eyes were on fire, I didn't mean it literally, but they were full of anger and I have no idea why he's this angry.
"Answer me," He whispered threateningly. The heat shared between us is unbearable. Even the gods don't know how bad I hate the way he tries to threaten me.
"I didn't know that I can't come home when I'm bored to death." I said, trying to step away from him.
"You could've told me that you wanted to go." He snarled at me like I was an idiot.
I couldn't take it anymore. I slapped his hand away from my face, hard, and step away from him as possible.
"Oh yeah?" my voice was unexpectedly deep, "I'm sorry, I was being so considerate I didn't want to interrupt your snogging session with your crush who you asked me to help you get over her. I apologize that I cared about you too much I wanted to support you and respect your actions."
Logan's blue eyes flicked slightly like he was shocked of my sudden outburst. I knew that it would be the right thing to calm myself down but I sure not going to listen to the angelic Lee, not any time soon anyway. I kept going.
"You are heartless, you know that?" I asked him, not expecting an answer, "You acted like the biggest jerk on the planet, making me wanted to give you a .45, and one minute you're just a regular man looking for the love of his life, making me sympathize you, and another minute you're this romantic guy who is so, so sweet that I wanted you to push me against a fucking wall. I don't know which is the real you, and I don't give two shits about it either, you have no right to lie and use me, GET THAT THROUGH YOUR IDIOTIC SKULL."
I shouted the last part loud and clear before stomped passed Logan, grabbed my jacket and a pair of shoes and walked to the front door. Logan was going to grab my arm but I moved my body away from his reach, I knew him too well.
"Where are you going?"
I slammed the door in his face and walked away from it.
