Black and white,
my story isn't that simple,
colorful is my heritage,
a heritage of black and white,
a proud African-American father,
a strong African-American Grandmother,
who carries in her heart the marches for equality,
for the right of my existence,
A beautiful Caucasian mother,
adopted as a babe by a Jewish couple,
these two people created me,
out of love pure,
but they left me with an un-fillable hole,
who am I?
what is my culture?
what flag should I wave?
Black and white?
I found my own flag,
blue pink and purple,
finally my true colors show,
and i'm no longer just,
Black and white.
