Shining your light,
For everyone to see,
Firefly ,
I scoop you up,
To take home with me,

You shine so bright,
You always make me smile,

In the pale moonlight,
Stay with me for a while,

Please don't take flight,
Shine for only me,
Firefly,
You where never mine,
Your there for the world to see,
Firefly,
In the jar by my bed,
Emitting your dim glow,
Firefly ,
Please paint my skies,
Your favorite shade of yellow,
Firefly,
It's late at night,
It's time to set you free,
Firefly,
I know you might,
But please don't forget me.
