What woke me up up wasn't the sun peeking pass the curtains, or the alarm that was going off, no, it was the loud blaring music that woke me up. And that also resulted me falling off the bed. Yup, great way to start the morning.
I groan and touch my head. I steadied myself and see the bottle of beer that I had last night. I skip past that and walk down the stairs, with a slight curly bed head, my hand still on my head.
"Can you please shut that off!" I yelled at Toby shutted off the music.
"Ah, good morning, Katt." Toby said.
I groan. "It's Kardia". I steadied myself and went to the kitchen.
"Do we have an asprin?" I ask.
"Yeah! In the second-"
"Found it!" I cut him off as I grab some asprin to help with the ringing in my ears, got a bottle of water and went back upstairs.
I wip open the door and slammed it closed, and tossed the tablets on the nightstand, and plopped on the bed.
Well, your going to have to get use to this if you want to stay here. My inner voice said. I sighed. News from last night came into my brain as I realized it was an overload. News about bombings, The Predsiend, deaths, celebs filled my mind.
I curled up in a ball and whimpered and soon I blacked out.
I woke up with the garage door slamming. I groan. I forgot to take the asprin. Crap. I look at the alarm clock on the nightstand. It was at first, fuzzy but then my vision cleared up. It read 8:36. I lay on my bed just for a few minutes. Looking into the newest trends in fashion, looking who got killed this morning, and random stupid facts about life.
As I'm just lazily reading them, somebody knocks on the door. I touch my screen and move the story aside later to read when I'm bored. You're probably wondering, what screen? Well, since I have the internet in my head, it looks like it's a big screen, doing a 360 around your body. In order to move things, you have to move your own fingers across the screen, which makes you look like you crazy. Hey, I told you that having this has it's perks and it's cons.
I get up and walk over to the door, opening just enough to fit my head. It's Walter.
"Yes, How can I help you?" I ask.
Walter clears his throat. "Um, Paige is on her way to drop off Ralph and then going to get a few things. So, get ready."
I nod. Then, I close the door slowly and sigh. My back in pressed against the white door. I sank down, and close my eyes. I just needed to stop putting on this face. At one point, I have to stop. But I can't, because then they will never love me like a family.
Family.
Gosh, I haven't said that word in a long time. So, me sitting all sad on the floor, wanting to cry but can't. Then, I see her. Sadie. My friend. Her red hair is still as long as ever and is sitting on the dresser.
Come on Kardia, you shouldn't put yourself down like that. Sadie tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.
I could swear I could feel her touch, and her smell. Sadie smelled like lavender, strawberries and suprisingly, lemon. Who knew that those smells can mix together and not smelled bad, but, Sadie pulled it off wonderfully. Sadie wasn't happy all or sad, she was in the middle.
I sigh. I run my fingers into my hair, slightly pulling it out. I stand up and walk toward my bags and get ready. I throw on a white T-shirt with GAP spelled with black letters, and a pair of ripped leggings, a pair of short and then I put on my leather jacket that I had before. I slip on my black converse, did a little make-up, and looked at myself in the mirror.
