Dreams are weird.
Well, at least for me.
But thankfully, I wasn't dreaming about much. They weren't as crazy as yesterday's dream. When I open my eyes, I wasn't staring at the ceiling, nope, there was my mindscreen, waiting for me to use. I sigh. I knew that when it did that, it knows that I'll be taking the pills. All you need to know about these is that you won't find these pills at your local CVS. I suddenly realize that the alarm on my phone that I set didn't set off yet. I must have woken up early, which sucks but screw that anyway. I literally roll myself out of the bed, feeling super drain but knowing that I'll be bouncing off these walls in a few minutes.
I slam the bathroom door shut and brush my teeth, wash my face, all that daily routine shit that you know of. I honestly didn't care that I was still in my pj's when I went downstairs and saw everyone working away, barely acknowledging me as I walk down the stairs.
¨Yeah, Good morning to you to losers!"I yelled as I head to the kitchen.
¨Aw, did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?" Toby cheekily replied, with a stupid grin on his face.
¨Oh, go stick it in a juice box and go suck it Toby.¨ I snapped back as I grabbed a bowl of cereal and start munching on it.
¨Atta girl, Kardia.¨ Happy praised me.
I smiled and tipped my imaginary hat. ¨No problem ma'am."
I pour a glass of milk as Walter went into the kitchen to fill up his coffee.
¨Are you excited?¨ Walter asked as he put the creamer in the coffee.
I shrugged as I started to play with my cereal. Walter sighed, placed down his mug on the counter and pulls up a chair. He places his hand on my hand, the one that tapping the table. I immediately perked up as I drop my spoon in the cereal bowl, with wide eyes.
¨Your going to do great. Better than we ever could." Walter insisted, and before I could reply, Walter got up and took his mug back to his desk. My left hand suddenly felt cold as I place it on my knee. Walter's hands were warm and it was probably because of the mug. At least that was progress. Once I finish the cereal, I rinse it, put it into the dishwasher, and head upstairs. I brush my teeth again and then stand in front of my closet.
Now, I'm not the type of girl that'll spend way too much time picking out what to wear but I kinda wanted to look nice but I suck at doing that because I usually look like a hot mess. I groan. Why was I thinking about this stupid problem?
Paige's POV.
As I pull into the garage parking, and pull the car to a stop, I turn to Ralph. ¨You got her schedule?"
Ralph nods happily. "Got it, mom."
I smile as Ralph and I walk out of the car, holding hand and hand and we entered in the garage.
"Good morning everybody, is Kardia ready?" I asked as Ralph rushes over to Walter.
"Uh, she hasn't come down in 11 minutes and 35 seconds." Sly answered.
Then, an alert pinged onto Walter's phone.
"Uh, Paige, Kardia wants you to go to her room." Walter directed as I cocked my head in confusion.
"What for?"
Walter glances at his phone. "Uh, she didn't say."
"Okay..." I walk up the stairs hesitantly and just as I was going to knock on the door, I hear a voice from inside, yelling, "It's open!"
