"So, your telling me, that the social worker you met that day when we blew up the warehouse-"

"Mr. Jhonkes."

"You've been in contact with him ever since that day, you've been asking him the progress, he alerted you when he found where Sadie was from and you've set up to meet them in a week?!" Paige exclaimed.

I shrugged. "Yeah, basically."

So, their we all were, some of us were sitting at our desks and some us were standing. Oh wait, your probably wondering how I ended up in the mess. Well, I decided enough was enough and I told them about all the hell I've dealt with when they weren't around, getting detail. Lots and lots of detail and data.

"Why are you telling us this now, and not three weeks ago, when you knew it?" Walter pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Well, sorry if I didn't know you that well three weeks ago, in fact, I don't think anything has changed. " I snapped, glaring at Walter.

"So, why did you tell us this exactly?" Toby added, him leaning against his desk.

"What do you mean?" I turned my attention toward him.

"Well, knowing you, you could've slipped out of the house and slip back in that no one would give a crap." Toby pointed out. "So, why did 'ya tell us?"

I looked at my shoes. "Because I want you to come with me." I mumbled.

"What was that?" Toby asked.

I rolled my eyes. "I said, because I want you guys to come with me." All the colors from everyone's faces drained, like I just asked them to plant a bomb in here. Paige was the first one to snap out of the daze that they were in.

"We would love to, Kardia." Paige replied.

"W-what?" I choked out. Wasn't expecting that, but then again, I should because Paige is the only one here, besides Cabe, that has a normal EQ.

"We would love to go." Paige smiled at me, warmly.

"Can't, I go-" Walter began, but Paige kicked his calf. Walter cleared his throat to cover up his wince. "We are, uh, happy to come with you."

"When is it?" Paige asked.

"A week after New Year's. On a Tuesday. 12:00 p.m." I said, my mind screen literally checking off each one after I said it. It was almost childish-like. Paige walked over to her desk and jotted it down on her calendar.

"So, I'm going to clear the entire day, so if we get any jobs that day, we won't accept them." Paige noted as she slides the calendar back into her desk and closes the drawer shut.

"But-" Walter began but quickly faltered as he realized that he wasn't going to win the battle he was setting up. Paige was glaring

"Wait, where is this going to be? Is it going to be in a grave yard? Oh, I hate grave yards!" Sly exclaimed and reached to put more hand sanitizer on his hand.

"No, we won't be near any graves, Sly." I promised. "We're going to be at her home."

"Great! Families, talking about how their own daughter died, that's going to be a fun reunion." Happy slammed down her hammer at a piece of metal. I'm guessing that she's being sarcastic, like I sometimes am. But her other reason made me think.

"There not going to ask me how she died, right?" Everyone avoided eye-contact with me and everyone seemed jittery.

My eyes widen. "Oh, I'm in deep shit."
