After the incident in the room of requirements, Draco had somehow managed to avoid me for practically a year.

The dragon on my ankle would tingle every time I did something risky; like when I was helping my godfather escape using Buckbeak with Mione.

That was quite an adventure itself.

I couldn't help but laugh thinking back to when I casted my patronus to save myself.

My head just couldn't wrap around it.

I did something before knowing that I needed to do something.

That's crazy.

What's crazy, Potter?

I shook my head before focusing on the blonde sitting at the table across the dining hall.

How good you are at avoiding me.

I smiled at him once he looked up at me.

He shot me a small smile.

Sorry. I've been busy.

Too busy to talk to me?

I've got a good reason.

What reason could possibly be good enough?

I can't say...yet.

It's been a while.

Yeah. I know.

How are you going to make it up to me.

Do I have to?

I arched a brow and he laughed quietly before glancing back down at his food.

Very well. Though I suppose last time I tried something you locked yourself in a bathroom.

I stood up from the table with scarlet cheeks.

"Harry?" I glanced at Ginerva.

"What?"

"What's wrong? You stopped talking, zoned out, and now you're running off."

"Ginny, everything doesn't have to be wrong just because I'm slightly out of it."

"Well, why else would you act like that?" She pressed.

"Nor is this something I want to disclose with you." I adjusted my glasses.

"Oi, Harry. Lighten up on my sister."

I rolled my eyes at Ron. "I'll just go."

I left the dining hall and headed towards the boys bathroom.

Once I walked in I got yanked into a stall.

I swung and gasped when I got slammed against the wall; my fist held tightly in my attacker's hand.

"Aren't I fortunate that you fight with your fist before your wand?"

I relaxed once my eyes locked with a pair of mercury.

"You won't always be as fortunate."

"Perhaps, but...until then I'll just try my luck."

"So are you going to tell me why you've been hiding?"

His eyes softened as he clenched his jaw. "I can show you... But I can't repeat it."

You didn't-

Two more years until that...

I let out a sigh of relief. "Ok." I pulled him in for a hug and nuzzled his neck.
