Chapter 12 – With Her Care

 

 

“Mr. Torres, I think there’s better idea than that.” Sebastian Renzo Lim commented when Nick was about to turn off his presentation on his laptop. Katatapos lang kasi ng board meeting niya. And for the third time, Sebastian suggested another better plan for his presentation/project.

Senenyasan na niya ang ibang board members na umalis sa conference room at iwan muna sila ni Sebastian. He was starting to get annoyed. These past few days, he was very busy with their corporation. Araw-araw silang nagkakaroon ng mga board meetings but what making him worst is that Sebastian Lim is always suggesting that there’s some better idea than his. Yes, Mr. Lim was one of the board members and he was obliged to attend every board meeting he would organize.

Naiirita na siya rito. Lahat na lang yata ng ginagawa niya para rito ay kulang. For all of his life here being a CEO, wala pang nagsusuggest na mas may maganda pa sa mga ideya niya because all of his plans and ideas are always right and better.

But Sebastian was already getting unto his nerves. Nayayabangan na siya rito.

He scowled. “Why are you making things difficult, Mr. Lim?”

Sebastian smirked. “I’m not making things difficult, Mr. Torres. I’m suggesting better ideas.” Kibit-balikat nitong sabi. “It’s up to you kung magiging open-minded ka.”

“I don’t think so because I know my ideas and plans are always better, Mr. Lim.” He said matter-of-factly. He was starting to get pissed.

“I know so. Kaya pala napilitan si Monique na pakasalan ka.” He blurted out.

Nick raised an eyebrow. “At anong kinalaman ng asawa ko rito?”

 

“Well, alam kong napilitan lang siya pakasalan ka, Mr. Torres. As what I have read in the tabloids, your relationship with her is failing.” Sabi naman nito sa kanya na kumbaga parang iniinsulto pa siya.

Pinapakielaman pa talaga nito ang nangyayari sa kanila ni Monique. “Ano bang pakialam mo, Mr. Lim? It’s none of your business so don’t act as if you’re part of our lives.” He coldly replied.

“Because I’m part of Monique’s life before you got into the picture, Torres. You can’t change that. And you cannot also change the fact that she might still feel something for me. Anyway, I have to go now, may gagawin pa ako.” Pagkatapos ng makahulugang sinabi nito ay umalis na ito sa conference room.

Natigilan siya sa huling sinabi nito sa kanya.

 

“Because I’m part of Monique’s life before you got into the picture, Torres..”

 

Hindi niya alam kung anong ibig sabihin nito sa kanya. But it crossed his mind, mukhang may kaugnayan nga ang dalawa kasi Sebastian Renzo Lim often asked him about Monique.

Napaupo siya sa swivel chair at napasapo sa noo niya. Things are getting complicated. Nitong mga nakaraang araw, Monique became distant to him. Pero hindi gaya ng dati, she was cursing him to death, now was even worst, Monique gave him a silent treatment.

Kaya heto, sinubsob niya ang sarili niya sa trabaho, nag-oovertime siya para makalimut man lang.

Naguguluhan siya sa sinabi ni Sebastian sa kanya. Maybe Sebastian was a sort of Monique’s ex boyfriend. Pero wala naman siyang narinig tungkol sa mga ex boyfriends nito.
