You can run, but you can't hide

Chapter 71

Louis’ POV

It was nice to just hang out with my lads. We decided to go camping like we always did on Penguin Island. It was ironic because there were no penguins on the island.

I invited Eleanor to come camp out. We shared a tent together while my boy Stanley shared a tent with my ex-girlfriend Hannah. A few other lads from school came but didn’t stay in the tents like real men. Wimps.

We took the courtesy to make a picnic dinner for the first night. We made pasta salad and cooked up some steaks on bread. The camp site was located just off the beach. We had our picnic on the beach and brought down some lanterns. We made them into a big circle as we sat in the middle looking up at the stars and listening to the natural sound of the waves breaking onto the sand.

Nothing at this moment could make me any happier. Oh wait, Eleanor did. She sat beside me as I put my arm around her. We lay on our backs in the sand playing dot-to-dot with the stars in the sky. Life was perfect.

Niall’s POV

Where it was 9:00pm in London, It was 12:00 midday in Australia and boy was it hot! Lauren took me to Cronulla Beach. It was one of the best beaches I’d ever seen. We relaxed all day. Nothing would have been better, I was with the girl of my dreams in this amazing location and the best part of it all was no One Direction. No one recognised me because they thought I was in England and better yet, I didn’t have the boys on my back all day. This was the life.

Lauren was training to be a life guard so she had to leave me at 1:00pm for an hour on duty. I lay on the beach thinking how lucky I was to have her as I watched her climb down from the tower. Her short brown hair tied back into a messy bun suited her as her brown eyes caught me off guard. She ran passed holding her surfboard with a few “Aussie Blokes” they looked drunk pointing out into the ocean as if they were directing where their drowning friend was. I watched in curiosity. Lauren found their friend struggling out of the flags as she put him on her board and dragged him back to shore. He was okay, he just looked drunk. Typical Australian. Lauren quickly ran up to me as her lips slowly kissed mine. She ran off back to the tower to finish her duty. At that moment I knew I was falling for a girl who actually had the intention of catching me.

Zayn’s POV

It was 4:00am in New York. I rolled over and next to me was a peaceful angel sleeping. It was Zara. She was gorgeous. She made me feel like I was in a dream. Everything about her made me fall in love all over again. I felt a sneeze coming along. “NO NOT NOW” I thought so hard in my head over and over again and before I knew it I’d let out a killer sneeze that probably woke up the whole neighbourhood. Or hotel at least, even worse I had woken up my princess.

“Good morning love” I gently pushed her hair out of her face. Smooth...

“What time is it?” Her beautiful eyes fluttered. It sent me speechless.

“Uh, um, Its, uh, It’s” I mouthed like an idiot.

“4.04” She smiled stroking my cheek gently. “We better go” She got up out of bed and changed ready for the day. It was amazing being in New York. I’d been here for less than and day and no one recognized me and no one was annoying me. All I had was my modelling career and Zara. What more could I have asked for?

Liam’s POV

Life was seriously confusing me right now. It wasn’t just with the boys; I mean Zayn almost ended our careers! His bone-head move could have costed us everything. We were all pretty shaken up that One Direction almost had to end. I know Caitlin and Zayn aren’t talking like they used to. It’s his entire fault for yelling at her though. I felt bad myself though for what I did to Danielle. Or what I’m doing...

I met her sister Sarah for the first time on the boat party for Caitlin’s Birthday, though I admit I did see her in Australia when we went with the boys. Sarah’s one of Caitlin’s best friends and also Danielle’s sister. AWKWARD!

At the boat party, Danielle had a small argument with me about how I haven’t been spending enough time with her. I feel bad and all, If my girlfriends upset, so am I but I wasn’t in the mood to hear it. I left her annoyed at how she wanted to pick a fight with me so I went to talk to Sarah.

Sarah was so nice, cool, funny and fit. She was the spitting image of Danielle. Her perfect brown hair curled down the sides of her face as her blue eyes shone through me. Blue eyes and brown hair... BONUS! She made me feel happy. I loved to be around her, so I asked her to wait for me. Dumb move if I still wanted Danielle but then I realised, I don’t want Danielle.

It’s just after 9. We travelled as far as Lancaster in one day. We stopped so many times to look at everything we could. I was with Sarah. She made me feel safe. She made me feel alive. She promised she wouldn’t tell Danielle and when Daniii asked where I was, I said “On a family holiday” and when she asked where Sarah was, she said “Back in Australia”. I should have felt bad for lying to my girlfriend. But I didn’t.

Harry’s POV

It was 10:15am. We sat on the beach, Caitlin in my arms, forever. At this moment in my life, I was truly happy. I looked at her as she looked back at me. We were both so jetlagged though we couldn’t sleep, not until at least 7:00pm. Looking at my watch, it would have been 9:15pm in London where Louis and Liam were, 12:15 midday where Niall was and 4:15 where Zayn was. I thought about whether they were having a good time or not. I know I am. I don’t want right now to end.
