"Wanna watch a scary film?" Harmony asked out of nowhere. "We don't have much time for that." "Sure you do! We could watch a short one." "Yeah! Come on, Emmy!" Harry got all excited and followed Harmony into another room. "They're strange," Des commented. "That would be an understatement," I replied........
"Let's watch the exorcist, babe," Harry suggested with a sinister smirk. "How about we jump off a bridge instead? I'd basically be going through the same amount of pain." "Can you be any more dramatic?" Harry asked as he chuckled aloud. "Yes, I can actually." Harry rolled his eyes and asked Des if she owned the movie. "Why, yes, I do." I shot her an evil glare and she smiled widely.
"I really don't want to watch it. I've heard so many terrible things about it. We should watch something a little less creepy," I tried using the most convincing tone I could possibly muster, but Harry wasn't going for it, neither was Odessa or Harmony. "Don't worry. I'll protect you," Harry wrapped his arms around me, but I pushed him away. "You would be protecting me by saving me from being forced to watch it."
"Well, technically, we aren't actually forcing you," Harmony reminded me. I sighed and crossed my arms like a child. "Yeah, Mona is right, Em. You could always go somewhere alone so you wouldn't have to be in its presence." Yeah, right. I'm not going anywhere alone now. My mind is stuck on how scary that girl's appearance is. I've seen pictures before, and even they give me nightmares.
"Don't be a wimp, Em," Odessa teased whilst poking my arm repeatedly. "Okay, okay. Quit poking me. I'll watch some of it, but Harry and I can't stay here for too long." I hope time flies as fast as possible. Harmony laughed wickedly and we all rested on one sofa together. "I'm going to be freaked out for weeks," I whispered to Harry, clutching his arm tightly.
He leaned his head back, his dark, soft curls bouncing lightly from the swift motion as he licked his curved lips causing them to have a shine. "I'll be here. I won't leave you." I shivered as his breath moved down my neck and collarbone. "I promise," he added with a determined tone. The way he said that made it seem like he was referring to something else as well, but I couldn't figure out what.
The film began just as any other film, setting up the plot, and my eyes were fixed on the screen, nervously waiting for something to jump out that would cause a scream to escape from my mouth. Harry moved closer to me, his green orbs watching me thoughtfully. He didn't seem to be paying any attention to the actual film. "At least this exorcism happened in America, so we have nothing to worry about," Des informed me with an amused smile.
I rolled my eyes; as if that info would make me feel any better. I focused on the film once more until Harry bent forward and asked Des if she would pause it. "What is it, Harry?" Harmony asked impatiently. "My mum is calling." Harmony and Odessa's laughter filled the room, and normally I would've laughed along, but I had a feeling that Harry was anxious about something.
"I think it's important. I'll be back in a second." He rose up with his phone to his ear and exited the room. Odessa turned on a nearby lamp as we waited for Harry to return. "I wonder what's going on." Harmony's voice had quieted as she stared in the direction Harry had left in.
In a single second, Harry came rushing back with wide eyes and his hair a mess; it was probably the result of running his fingers through it too many times, a nervous habit. "Is everything alright?" His lips fidgeted as he struggled to answer my question.
"Your mum is in the hospital," he managed to get out. I felt like I couldn't hear, see, talk or even breathe. What happened? When did it happen? Which hospital? Why am I not there right now? "Can your mum take us there?" I pleaded after a few moments of fear coursing throughout me.
"I'll call her," Harry assured me with a nod. I tapped my foot a hundred time a minute as many thoughts crowded my head. My mom has been getting treatments, but what if something went wrong? I just can't lose her. I can't. I need her always.
"She's on her way." I nodded to him and began counting every second that went by until his mum would bring me to my own.

Writer's block sucks so badly and I'm sorry. I apologize too much. Ugh. Well, the next chapter will be better....as in more detailed. It'll probably be sad though.
Of course, I don't know when I'll update. Just know that I will eventually.
XOXO
