The Bride
She had been sleeping soundly until the door to her bridal suite was flung open by two excited young woman yelling as loud as they could.
"You're getting married!"
Y/N groaned. "Quiet or you'll wake the whole hotel."
"Y/N, it's your wedding day. Try to be a bit more enthusiastic, yeah?" Malia stated plopping down on one side of the bed, Lydia sliding into the other sandwiching Y/N between them.
"It's hard to be enthusiastic before my eyes are even open." Y/N said, rubbing at her eyes before laying back onto the pillows.
"Well there open now, so how about it." Lydia suggested.
Y/N smiled wide, a yelled out. "I'm getting married!"
Lydia hopped from the bed, an excited expression on her face. "That's the spirit! We have breakfast coming, which includes mimosas."
"No screwdrivers?" Y/N asked, a slight frown on her face.
"No screwdrivers. Your mom and Scott both prohibited them for the day." Malia replied as she moved from the bed herself.
Y/N rolled her eyes and flopped back on her pillows. "I can't believe at this time tomorrow I'll be waking up as Mrs. Y/N McCall."
"Well you won't be if you don't get your butt out of bed and get some breakfast in you so we can start getting ready." Lydia held her hand out to pull her friend from the bed.
"Fine, but only because you asked so nicely." Y/N stated the sarcasm dripping from her lips as she took Lydia's hand and moved off the bed.
The women took seats around the room on chairs and sofas talking until breakfast arrived, then they ate and enthused about the wedding. Though it wasn't long before another knock came at the door. This time Y/N's mother, along with the people she had hired to do hair and makeup for the day, along with the photographer. A surprise gift that was sure to be helpful.
Dresses were then pulled from the closet as the three girls argued over who would be in the chair first.
"Nature over nurture." Malia argued, pushing past Lydia and slipping into the chair.
"Fine. You'll take the longest anyway." Lydia threw back, sticking her tongue out at Malia.
Y/N laughed, taking another sip of her mimosa. "Girls be nice. It is my wedding day after all."
"I say it out of love, of course." Lydia smiled at Malia before returning her focus to the phone in her hand.
Malia rolled her eyes. "Of course you do."
As the two continued in the background Y/N moved over to the photographer and began a conversation about poses and the types of photos that would be taken while they were in the bridal suite. "So do you want us posed for anything?" Y/N asked.
"That's totally up to you, you may choose to take a few posed pictures up here but for the most part just, pretend I'm not here. I think candids are the best for getting ready photos"
Y/N nodded. "Okay, sounds great, I think candids work too." She laughed a bit, the thought of her wedding overtaking her mind again and the photographer quickly snapped a picture of her face, up close.
"That was perfect, total keeper." The two laughed and talked about pictures a bit longer before Y/N moved on to talk with Lydia who was currently getting her hair done while Malia had her make up finished. The girls chatted and laughed, as they got ready and soon Y/N was in the chair herself, curls and bobby pins, lipstick and mascara, all coming at her at once. Or at least that's how she felt.
