Dearest Morgana,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and as much prosperous luck as it does me.

My suspicions - previously voiced to you - regarding Arthur and Merlin have been confirmed, just this night, as they shared an act of scandalous tenderness within the private quarters of the Prince's chambers.

Unknown to anyone, I have been watching them intently over the past month; I have discovered their affections for one another are as sickeningly twisted as they are true and unwavering.

I also have knowledge of a trip to Nottingdale - conducted and led by Prince Arthur himself - in the coming days. They believe they will gain traces of your whereabouts from this visit, and are due to arrive at the city in five days' time.

Prince Arthur is sure to be accompanied by his knights and his manservant. They will pass through the Valley of the Fallen Kings around the mid-point of their journey; this time in four days.

What you wish to arrange with this newfound knowledge I shall leave to your grand devices.

Forgive me for not delivering this news in person; with the upcoming trip my presence at the castle is mandatory.

Lord Agravaine

Morgana's lips twisted into a triumphant sneer as her eyes flickered over the letter in her trembling hands, consuming the words like a starved animal.

In her mind, she pictured Lord Agravaine eagerly sliding the sealed envelope underneath the door to her secluded shack, before hastily remounting his horse and returning to Camelot, the moon casting a sickly light upon his black cape and dark eyes, all the while wearing a twisted, roguish smirk as he betrayed his nephew and inadvertently pledged allegiance to Morgana.

Her heart raced with the excellence of it all; her mind thrummed with all the things she could accomplish with the information at her fingertips.

Morgana had always been skeptical of the Prince's odd, heightened affections for Merlin. Never before had Arthur taken such a liking to one of his servants, friends, or even female suitors. It wasn't until after Morgana fled Camelot that she realized just how much the Prince and the servant cherished one another; even thinking about the couple's rotten devotion to one another made her stomach churn in disgust.

However, mere suspicions were not adequate. Morgana had been anticipating substantial evidence - regarding Arthur's love for his bothersome manservant - for months; and now Agravaine had brought proof, along with plans of their next movements. The wait had been too long; the time to act was now.

The utter perfection of it all was almost too good to be true; at first she had doubted Agravaine's loyalty, but now - cemented with the betrayal of his Prince - she trusted him enough to act on his words.

Mind spinning with ideas of catching the brigade unaware, Morgana found herself stumbling to a rickety chair to sit down. All the things she could do! Her heart positively soared with the twisted thoughts she indulged herself in.

A trap; for the faithful lovers and the arrogant knights. They would never know what was coming. Furthermore, Arthur had no reason to suspect that Morgana was even in Camelot - let alone bearing news of their journey, and knowledgeable of his forbidden love for Merlin.

It seemed that exploiting the pair had become a craving; a wicked goal she longed to achieve, something that dominated her dreams, day and night.

Finally, she would be satisfied.

Morgana stood up briskly, no longer able to contain the toxic excitement buzzing through her veins as she allowed herself a sly smirk that graced her lips.

She would plot, plan and prepare until she had a fool-proof ploy that would leave Arthur and Merlin at her mercy.

Oh, this was going to be fun.

a/n - This chapter was only half of what I usually write, but there isn't much to tell in the way of Morgana's plans yet; plus, I wanted to get back to Arthur and Merlin as soon as possible!

It was also a little different, considering the three broken parts - I hope you enjoyed this progressive, revealing chapter all the same - if you did, please consider leaving a vote!! <3
