Philip Hamilton groaned as his mother was putting him in a gray suit. He was 10, he could handle himself! He squirmed causing Eliza to get more annoyed but the women hid it well.

"Philip Hamilton hold still." She demanded gently as she buttoned him up. He sighed and stomped a little bit to the point of almost thrpwing a tantrum.

"Mama I hate this suit! My nether regions are getting-"

"Done!" She said standing back looking at her son. His frizzy brown hair bounced as he looked down at his body, his emerald green eyes were full of disgust as he looked at his mother with an aggrovated look. Eliza warmly smiled seeing his discomfort. The women knelt by her sun and rubbed his back. "I know you don't want to go... but do this for your father Pip."

Philip sighed "I know, but seriously?" He pointed at his cravat. "I have to wear a puffy white thingy?"

Eliza chuckled and russled his hair standing up. "Never change, Phillip."

Philip smiled at his mom revealing his missing tooth. As he turned Alexander, his father, was standing right there. He smiled at Philip then looked back at Eliza. "Is he ready?"

Eliza Schuyler nodded and fixed her husbands Cravat. "Indeed now Alex remember, behave." She giggled as she finished foxong his cravat. Alexander smiled and kissed his wife's cheek.

"Tell our son that." He rolled his eyes lovingly at his wife. Philip gagged a little and chuckled.

Alexander took his son's hand and waved goodbye to Eliza. Philip followed grudgingly, but smiled and waved goodbye as well.

Alexander sighed "Now Philip, I expect you to behave and remain quiet and let the adults talk, alright?"

Philip nodded softly "Yes sir." He always thought his dad was so cool, and his Dad could talk back and win any fight.

Soon enough the two arrived and, as guessed, Alexander was already yelling at Thomas about the money the should and shouldn't spend.

Philip watched at Madiosn, his Dad, Jefferson, and Burr were in a circle arguing. The 10 year old couldn't take his anymore! He saw a table with a cloth over it.

Perfect.

He ran and slid under it, hugging his knees and sighing relief.

"Finally alone at-" he spoke as he turned but was cut off by spotting a girl looking at him terrified.

She had dark skin, dark curly hair that reached her shoulders, brown-hazel eyes, and puffy lips. The girl wore a light green dress and was sitting like a mermaid would.

Philip looked at her and they inter locked eyes. "H-hello..." He called to her.

The girl seemed taken aback but smiled shyly. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and looked down. "Hi..." she said being barley audible.

The two sat in awkward silence but Philip took a deep breath. "I am Philip, you?"

She looked up and saw that he was smiling warmly at her and asked her name. "Th-theodosia..."

Philip smiled. Theodosia.... what a lovely name. Theodosia blushed and nervously looked down. Philip realized and swallowed nervously "Why are you under the table?"

Theodosia looked embarrassed but met his eyes in hers "My father is insufferable." She smiled a little.

Philip chuckled "Mine too."

Theodosia smiled and felt a little less nervous. "Well I guess we can uh.... stay here until they need us?"

He nodded smiling "I would like that, thank you, Miss Theodosia." Philip bowed his head a little.

Theodosia giggled "Please, call me Theo."

Philip smiled warmly and scooted close to her. "Tell me more about yourself Theo."

Theodosia blushed slightly and giggled. "Well...."
