Philip read the letter Theodosia had written. His heart sank as he bit his lip reading word by word what happened to Theo's mother.

She had passed away in her sleep.

He couldn't help but reread the words Theodosia had wrote.

I am afraid I am no longer able to write because of the grief I have been stricken by. I hope you understand my dearest friend.

No longer able to write? What did she mean? They always wrote to each other!

The fourteen year old set aside the letter and put his face in his hands sighing. His mother and father stood in the frame of the door watching their son.

"Good riddence. Now he can focus on his work and not that low life Bur-"

Alexander started to say, but was elbowed by his wife very hard. He yelled and she pulled him into thwir bedroom.

"Alexander that is no way to speak of Mrs. Burr's death. The Burrs are now in grief and so is your son. Our son. I am sending Philip to their home to drop off flowers."

Alexander groaned "Fine."

"You're going as well." Eliza said exiting the room.

"wHAT!?" Alexander yelped catching up to her.

"You heard me." She walked and knocked on Philip's door frame. "Philip darling? Will you go with your father to deliver flowers to the Burrs?"

Philip wiped his eyes quickly and stood up and nodded "Yes mam."

Alexander sighed as Eliza shoved lilacs in his hands. "No fits Alexander."

Hamilton nodded and soon was pushed out the door with his son. They took the carriage to the Burr's house, the whole time the two were silent. When they arrived, Philip was the first out. He ran up the steps to the door and knocked.

He waited what seemed like forever and it opened.

Theodosia stood there. She looked the same but more beautiful and.... more sad. She gasped and hugged Philip letting her head sink in his chest. His arms wrapped around her as he felt tears come from her face into his chest, but he didn't care. He hadn't seen her in a year.

Alexander stood behind the teens and so did Burr.

"Greetings Alexander." Aaron smiled slightly.

"Hello Burr."
