"Abbey! what are you doing here?" Robert yelled as she entered the butterfly room, "I wanted to see the butterflies," she simply replied, "you have animals with you, your lucky you haven't been caught with them, your not permitted until you are a member of the zoo," he shooed her out. "Go with them to Bindi's island, just put Grey on a leash first," he ordered. "You may be my 'uncle' but your still only 3 years older then me," she argued. "I don't care," he sighed, walking away from her. "Bindi's island? that sounds interesting," she thought and searched for a sign. First she walked back to the house to get Grey's leash and headed back, "lets go this way," she told herself, eventually walked across the bridge to the small island. She saw lemurs everywhere, she tried to avoid them as much as she could. People watched her from a distance, confused that she had macaws on her arms, "do you work here," a young teen asked, about her age. "No sorry, go find someone with uniform," she cheekily spoke with attitude. "Oh, i wasn't asked for help or anything, I just want to know why you had the macaws on your arms, you stole them then!" she accused. "Excuse me!" she hissed, "put them back," she threatened. "No, go away," Abbey walked away from her and sat on a chair, placing the macaws on the back of the chair. She was visited by another person, unfortunately it was a staff member. "What are you doing with these birds?" The guy asked, "they are mine, how many times do I have to tell people!" She sighed. "Then what are they doing in the zoo, and that dog?!" He snapped. "I have permission from my uncle," she spat. "Well your uncle doesn't work here does he?" The guy went to grab the birds but was stopped by Abbey as she slapped his arm. "Don't touch my animals," she hissed. "Get out!" He ordered, "your not the boss of me," she bitched. The guy grabbed her and threw her a few metres onto the ground, she let out a painful scream as she felt a crucial snap in her arm. "Had enough yet little brat?!" The guy laughed psychotically. Abbey panicked, fear streamed from her eyes, just as she felt like she was gonna be injured more Grey ripped off her collar which was attached to the tied leash. She bit the guy on his backside, pinning him to the ground and barked aggressively. People ran towards the scene, frightened and in shock. Someone called the first aid to help. "Get off you mongrel!" The man yelled, "omg are you okay?" Another staff member asked freakily. First aid had rushed over, they started examining her arm. "Where are your parents?" A nurse asked, "uh... somewhere," she murmured. "What's their number then?" Another asked desperately. Abbey didn't reply, they decided they would immediately operate on it, they took her to the hospital.
A day later she sat on her bed worried, she hoped Bindi and Robert had heard about it and came looking for her. Grey and the macaws where being looked after by a nurse outside the hospital. She was allowed to go home a few hours later, "you are ready to go, we still need your parents to come," the doctor explained. "My mum is Bindi Irwin."
"Bindi Irwin, she is in room 34, ready to go," the lady at the counter told her as she raced into the hospital. She silently dashed through until she got to Abbey's room. "Mum!" Abbey felt relief, "im so sorry this happened to you," she felt guilt that she didn't know about it. "I'm fine now I guess, is that psycho in jail?" she asked nervously. "Yes, he will not be coming back here, don't worry, in fact I heard he wasn't even an employee but false identity was used." Bindi sighed, "thank god," Abbey got up, "lets get out of here," she walked out of there as soon as possible. "Grey! Opal! Fievel!" she panicked, "i'm sorry Abbey, I don't know where they are," Bindi frowned. "Well ask! please i'm begging of you!" she cried. Bindi sighed and turned back into the hospital. "My daughter had pets with her at the time of the incident, do you know where they are?" "Uh two parrots and a dog?" the women at the counter asked sadly. "WHAT?" Abbey butted in, "you know! tell me!" she demanded. "Oh dear, they have been taken to the shelter." "Excuse me, they are my pets bitch!" Abbey ran past Bindi and outside, furious and pacing around. "It better be a no kills shelter," she thought hopefully, "Grey has been there, done that, i can't loose her this time." She ran across the road, getting her phone out, she searched the maps app for near by shelter. She had three near by, she went for the first one, disappearing without thinking about Bindi. "Excuse, do you have two macaws and a border collie that have come in lately?" she asked desperately. "No sorry, but we do have some other parrots and border collies that are in already from a later time available," the shelter guy didn't get to say more, she had ran off to the next place. "ABBEY!" she heard the voice of Bindi driving near her, "what the hell are you doing, I have them in the car!" Bindi yelled, "but- how?" she gasped, sitting down on the concrete with confusion. "Its the drugs, they are messing with your brain. The nurse had them outside, waiting for you to get out." Bindi shook her head and grabbing Abbey's arm. She knew she had to have a lay down. "Grey!" she smiled as her dog whimpered in excitement, Opal and Fievel squawked to let her know they where there too. "Yea I missed you too," Abbey grabbed Opal and turned her upside down and lay her in her lap.
