So, he says as we walk out from the building into the dark quiet street, aside from the occasional car passing by. I'm shocked to see that it's so late. What do you want to ask?

"What don't I want to ask." I laughed out loud. "What time is it anyway?"

Midnight. The man states in my mind again. And it's best to keep our conversation here, young one.

"Why?"

He gives me a look, before walking away from me. Hmm, still as stubborn as you were when you were little.

Wait! Okay, okay. Sheesh. I follow after him. Wait for me, come on.

Follow me. He instructs and I caught up with him. It was easy to catch up with him, probably because he was still under the pretense that he was an old lady. We entered an even darker random alleyway a few blocks down. From what I know, this is beside our local hotels that i've never bothered to visit. Well, one of the facts being that I already have a house, but mainly because i'm not rich and snobby enough to lounge at their café like some of my schoolmates do after school.

Ahh, I nod to myself. So this is how I die.

Oh my go- Stop thinking that. He snaps.

I look up to him and could barely see the features of his face that was illuminated by the pale moonlight. He had a scowl on but then he covers his mouth whilst his eyes glistened with... amusement?

I roll my eyes.

His ash grey- almost white reflection off his hair looked like light dancing as he shook his head quickly to stop himself from laughing. I felt an unexpected warmth shoot through my body as I continued to watch him. I blush.

What is this feeling? Could it be- I mentally slapped myself thinking that. Ironically, for the first time I've seen this man, I looked at this man clearly in the darkness. I mean, he is definitely no old lady.

Then I remembered the old lady magic disguise thing I saw before.

It's a long story, young one. But rest assured, it's not what you think. A hand finds the top of my head and pats it. It'll be weird and you're way too young for me.

How old are you anyway, like 25? I blush deeper. Hopefully he can't see my cheeks change colour in the the dim lighting.

If by 25 you mean 250, then close to it, yeah. I imagine him crossing his arms around his chest.

So-

Wait. His eyes dart to the entrance of the alleyway when a sound like a entrance bell ringing plays out. He grabs me by the waist and quickly pushes me against the wall. The impact of the wall, although not that hard, took the breath out of me. I felt a tiny wave of energy cackle around Alex as he stared into my eyes, as if concentrating, and shifted. He had shifted into someone slightly shorter, slightly younger, but definitely, way more, like infinitely more breathtaking.

He was gifted with a chiselled jaw, dimples, grey-eyes, black hair, and I could only imagine how lean or muscular he was under the darkness. I wanted to learn every part of his face but couldn't comcentrate on one specific thing. Something inside me howled.

Be quiet, yeah? Alex's voice rings in my head. He puts his fingers to his lips and I nod silently, my agape. This.. this guy is the most handsome person i've ever laid eyes on. Not that I've laid eyes on many guys or anything.

He wraps his hands around my waist. He also rests his head on my shoulder, facing my neck and whispers into my ear. "Just breathe."

His change of voice elicits a sharp breath from me as I realise I had stopped breathing. His new voice is so smooth, yet has a slight edge at the end that made me so curious. It was deep and so soothing.

My mind was going wild for some reason and I couldn't even think properly. My breathing had become rough and ragged and he kept blowing air to my neck. There wasn't any innapropriate contact, but I was... well there is no vivid enough description to explain how I felt here in this beautiful stranger's arms. I closed my eyes.

"Hey! You kids shouldn't be out this late. It's dangerous." An authorative voice calls out. I froze. It sounded like a middle-aged man, who definitely had power. Probably a cop? I couldn't check because I was frozen with shame. I was indulging in this strangers voice.

"We're in the middle of something here." The beautiful stranger calls out, managing his voice to become husky with an annoyed tone, as if we were doing something before being interrupted.

The voice pursues on. "Well, are you alright, miss?"

Oh no! Me? I could barely even think let alone produce a coherent word. What do I say, oh I'm fine officer. It's just that my friend here turned into the most gorgeous specimen I had ever seen and is pining me up against the wall like a paper to a notice board.

"Nnngh!" Was all I could say.

"Say yes." The stranger whispers into my ear, so softly. That voice.

"Yes." I whispered out to the man, slowly as I tried to produce a coherent sounding word.

"Oh umm, I'll let you kids go then but stay safe at night. You never know what dangerous things may be lurking there. You never know."

I open my eyes to see the officer rushing away and shaking his head, clearly embarrased. Poor guy. I realised the position me and Alex were in quite some time after he left. Alex had released his grip on my slightly but was still looking out for what I realised now were eavesdroppers. I quickly shoved him away. He shifts back into the now normal-looking Alex with a quick blink of his eyes. He puts his hands on his hips, looking at me with his head cocked to the side.

What was that! I screamed at him in my head. He tells me he's about 250 years old, says i'm to young for him then changes into a greek god-looking man? I am shooketh right now.

"The officer was right. This place isn't safe." He grabs my hand once more and drags me out of the alley way, not bothering to answer any of the questions I had asked tonight.
