Julius:
There was silence for a good while. I looked at Andrea again, only to find tears running down her face. My heart jumped. She is crying in her sleep.
"Hey, don't cry." I cooed.
She doesn't respond, but I can see her shaking in her slumber. I reach out to touch her, the gentle touch causing her to violently jerk awake.
"What?" She sniffles, confused. Her eyes were slightly puffy.
"Umm, stop crying?" I said it in almost questioning way. What the hell, Julius.
"Oh, alright, sure i'll stop crying now." She says in a sarcastic manner, wiping at her eyes. She grumbles. "Stupid, I can't just stop it."
Ouch. I mentally punched myself, cringing. She mumbles an apology, letting out a choked sob. My heart clenched seeing her this way.
Instinctively, my hand reaches out with the want to caresses her cheek, wiping away her tears. I look back at the road, leaving my hand on her face. Her cheek was so smooth and soft. We let out an involuntary sigh at the same time. I stiffened, embarrased. She was crying for goodness sake. This isn't a time for this.
"Concentrate on the road, will you?" She sniffled, taking my hand in hers, and placing it back onto the steering wheel. She curled back up into the corner. She practically mews, "I'm not usually like this, so don't think i'm a pansy."
I nod silently before concentrating on the road.
"Well?" She says, out of the silence.
"What?"
"Say okay or something." She looks at me, expecting an acknowledgement of her statement earlier.
"Okay." I reach out to brush a loose strand of hair sticking to her teary face again, but this time she practically slaps my hand. She tells me to concentrate. Sigh.
As I reached the checkpoint, I woke her up. She had drifted herself off to sleep again. She barely opens her eyes, looking at me through heavy lids.
"We have to change vehicle." I said quietly.
She nods a little, and her hands reach out for me to carry her. It takes me so aback that I almost blushed. She wants me to carry her? I'm not complaining, though.
I exit my side of my car and went to her side to carry her. Her arms were still up in the air in anticipation so I wrap her arms around my neck and lifted her so she was straddling me, her legs wapping around my waist.
Trying not to gulp, I carry her to the other seat of the other car as tenderly as I can, before tapping her slowly first. "Stay awake, we got to be ready for the airport."
"The plane will be arriving soon." Jasmine checks her laptop as she types away frantically from the back seat.
"Where's my passport?" My mate murmurs. My head snaps to hers.
"With me." I didn't mention to her how I looked through her passport and stared at her passport photo earlier before fetching her from her school. She looked so cute. "Your mom.. gave it to me."
"Who's that?" She realises Jasmin's presence.
"Jasmine." Jasmine introduces herself. She gives me a raised brow. "Seems like you two are all comfy with each other already."
"My mate." I couldn't keep the smile from my voice.
"What are the chances." Jasmine sighs, before typing away at her laptop again.
