"That's enough of your past for today." Alex says as I step out of the cab after him. A cold breeze hits me and I shiver. The smell of the sea washes over me like a wave.
Alex peeks inside the cab and reaches for his pocket, taking out a hundred dollars and giving it to the driver.
"You will not remember who gave you this money. Return home."
I looked at him with a raised eyebrow for a moment as he closes the door and steps back. The driver starts to drive off. My eyes wouldn't leave the cab as it drove off into the distance until it turned a corner and I couldn't see it anymore.
"I dom't understand how humans, with their short lifespan and all, primaritise obtaining monetary possesions. To survive, yes." Alex breaks the silence. "That is the way their society is constructed to obtain their basic needs. But do they not understand that they are not able to take all these with them to the afterlife?"
"Woah there, Mr McDeep." I try to lighten the mood.
"I'm serious," He looked a bit sullen as he stares at me. He then snaps out of it by taking a deep breath and clapping once. "But each species has their flaws. Witches are massive bitches, and werewolves... well, you'll get to know about that soon enough."
"What do you mean 'i'll get to know about that soon enough'?" I back away from him, warily.
"That," A ghost of a smirk appears on his face. "Is what we're here for. I've told you a little about where you came from. Now, it's time to know who you are and what you'll be going through soon."

"Your body may be 'pretty' by conventional human standards, but it's soft," He pokes my underarm. I moved away from him a little, blushing a little. I seem to be doing that alot around him. "So much potential. Hmm."
My tippy toes played with the damp sand, wiggling around.
"There is no simpler way to put it but you, young one, are no human."
I nod uneasily, unsure where this is going. "Am I a witch too?"
He facepalmed himself.
"No, Andrea. You are a werewolf."
A quick chill ran up my spine. A werewolf? A hairy, qrotesque, creature that fights vampires and is hurt by silver and wolfsbane?
"Vampires are peaceful creatures to the supernatural. They usually find a bloodmate. But that story is for another day." He corrects me.
I raised an eyebrow. Okay.
"Have you been hearing voices in your head? Feel like someone else is trying to take control of your body?"
Yes. My mouth dropped. I run the goosebumps on my arm whilst shuddering. Yes, yes yes! I remember that voice in my head clearly. Curious, I ask him. "Does this have to do with my mecidine too?"
"You were right about the wolfsbane and silver. The pills you've ate since young included doses of these two to hold back your wolf."
"Why is it wearing off faster now?" I remember the incident in my head. I realised over time, the medicine has worked less and less on me; on her. That must be why she overtook my body the other day. I wasn't quick enough and she was strong enough.
"Your wolf, your partner, has been building immunity to it. Plus, it's closer to the day where the wolve side will have to break out. Your 18th birthday."
"That's in like, 4 months!"
"4 months to train."
"Train?"
