************Six months later *******

"How are you feeling my love?"
Malik questioned touching Zainab's forehead to feel her temperature.

Zainab has been sick for the past few days. From fever,to fatigue and loss of appetite. She has lost a little weight through her sick days because she barely eats as no food appeals to her anymore. Even now, she's curled up in bed shivering from fever.

"Malik habibi, can you make me a some lemon tea please?" She requested in a weak tired voice.

"Sure baby at least you'll feel a little better I'm sure it'll help" Malik said heading to the kitchen to make her some lemon tea.
He came back to the room and helped her sit up. She took a little of the tea and felt like throwing up. She ran to the bathroom and threw it all up,Malik followed her there and help clean her up.
After cleaning her up,her wrapped her in a towel and brought her back to the room. Picked out some light clothes for her and helped her change into them. He went back to the bathroom and clean it up.

"We need to see the doctor Zain, you're getting worse and worse everyday " Malik said worriedly as he sat by the bedside looking at her.

"I'll be fine,I'm just weak besides i hate hospitals". Zainab replied in a strained voice.

"Okay let's see,I'll call Dr Abdul a friend of mine to check you up at home" he took his phone from his pocket and dialed his friend's number.

Dr Abdul picked from the other side, they exchanged pleasantries and Malik told him of Zainab's condition. Dr Abdul promised to come by tomorrow and check up on her because he's out of town now.

When Malik finished with the call Zainab was already asleep,he pulled the covers to cover her properly, switched off the lights and left the room. He went to the kitchen and made himself some sandwitch. He finished with his sandwich and brought out his computer to reply some emails and work on some new designs for their new contract.

As he switched on his computer, the first e-mail that popped up was from Miss Amal Mehmud, his secretary. He couldn't help but feel a little guilty remembering how he dissed her the other day at the office. Maybe she was just trying to do her job and be nice he thought, but then again he has had his fair share of those type of ladies who act all nice because they want some attention. He avoided them even as a bachelor talkless of now,as a married man.
He opened the e-mail but it turned out it wasn't what he was expecting. He got so impressed with what he's seeing. Amal has carefully documented the minutes of his last meeting, made a review of his report and made some necessary corrections. She has even fixed his schedule for the next day. She shifted his meeting with Speilberg construction company from 2:pm to 10am as she wrote that it'll be more convenient in the morning than in the afternoon.
He couldn't help but smile at how thoughtful and smart skilled she had been. He had surely underrated her abilities before now. He finished replying the other e-mails and got to the bed room to sleep as his eyes were already heavy.

They woke up for subh prayer and Malik set out to go the mosque while Zainab prayed at home. She feels a little more energetic today. She went to the kitchen and made waffles for Malik's breakfast.
Malik came back from mosque and was surprised to see her in the kitchen.
"Ah someone's feeling a little better today" he walked into the kitchen.
"Yeah i just hate lying in bed all day," she smiled at him.
"Go take your shower,I'll serve you in a few" she said to him.

"No,I'll help you finish up"he protested.
They finished making breakfast together and Malik entered the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for work.

Zainab has been wondering what went wrong with her monthly cycle, this is the second month in a row she's missed her period she thought, maybe it's because of the stress from work and her sickness that why it has been delayed,or maybe she is..........
Her heart gave a big thump at the thought itself.....
"Can you help me fix my cufflinks please sweetness?" Malik disrupted her thoughts.
