TEN:
"Morning sexy."
"Don't call me that Bryce."
"Why not? I mean, we're going out, so-"
"I've just had a bad night," I interrupted.
"Oh, I see, one of those."
"It's not anything like that," I sighed.
He stopped walking up the stairs to the school's main entrance. "What's wrong?" For a second, he might've actually looked concerned.
"Like you care. I just don't want to talk about it," I said, turning to walk.
"I do care. Is there something I can do?" Wow, he's a very good liar; like he actually cares about me. He always acted like he never cared about anything, which I didn't realize the first few times I met him.
"No," I answered shortly.
It's not like I could tell him about my conversation with Jason, even if I wanted to. Which I don't. Knowing Bryce, he'd make an arrogant remark that would piss me off, and I was already in a bad mood. On top of that, I didn't need Bryce pretending to care about me just because we were in a fake relationship.
So, I went to my morning classes quietly. But when chemistry came, I was considering skipping. I wasn't ready to see Jason after I pretty much poured my heart out to him and ran away.
Shit, I don't have a car. Cody has a car, but I don't know where he is, and Nate's car is in the shop. That leaves Bryce, but should I really ask him to skip with me? Yes, I don't want to face Jason yet, even if we don't talk; I might cry and nobody wants to see that.
"Wait, Bryce!" I called before he stepped in the classroom.
"Yeah?" He replied walking towards me; I waited at my locker down the hall.
"Do you have a car?" I asked, even though I knew the answer.
"Maybe, why?" He was definitely confused now. That's when the late bell rang too.
"Great, let's go somewhere."
"Well well, does Miss Seraphina want to skip class and spend time with me?"
I rolled my eyes, but didn't answer because I heard adult voices coming down the hall. I grabbed Bryce's arm and ran out the door that took us outside. Once we were outside, I looked down at the arm I was still holding and quickly let go. Bryce smirked; shocking.
"So?" I asked.
He smiled, "Alright, but only if we go where I want to."
"Fine," I quickly agreed. I just needed to go somewhere.
We got into his car and he drove through the back exit so we wouldn't get caught. Clearly he'd skipped before, which didn't surprise me. He drove through a normal neighborhood until he pulled into a driveway.
"Where are we?"
"My house. I need to get something," he said as he got out of the car.
"Are you coming or not?" he asked impatiently when I stood against the car.
"No, I'll wait here. I don't need your parents calling mine, thank you very much."
"Relax, nobody's home."
I sighed, but followed him into the large, white house. It was very clean and organized.
"So where's the tour?" I asked.
"What?"
"Well, you insisted for me to come in, so can't I at least get a tour of your home sweet home?" I joked.
