EIGHTEEN:

"THAT WAS THE BEST CONCERT EVER!" Danielle shouted. We were just walking out from the Hannah Montana concert a couple days after Christmas. Danny wanted me to take her, her two best friends (Nicole and Jasmine) and Jason. Jason wasn't too thrilled about going to the Hannah Montana concert, but Danny really wanted him to go (and so did I).

"I'm glad you liked it," I told her.

Danielle smiled brightly, "Jason, can we get some ice cream before going home?"

"Yeah, can we?" Nicole and Jasmine asked.

He smiled back, "Sure." He stopped at the nearest ice cream shop on the way home. Danny and her friends took a long time choosing which flavor they wanted. Jason didn't get impatient though; he just stood next to me holding my hand while they sampled several flavors. When they finally picked their ice cream flavor and ate it outside, Jason drove the girls back to his house first. I got out and walked to the other side of the car next to Jason, who was waiting in the driver's seat.

"Thank you for taking me to see Hannah Montana! I had a lot of fun," Danny said as her friends waited behind her.

"You're welcome Danny," I grinned.

"Since Jasmine and Nicole are staying over, can't you? I'm sure Jason would like that."

I glanced over to Jason who was blushing more than I've ever seen, which made me laugh. "I'm sure he would but I have to get home. Maybe another time."

She pouted but nodded before hugging me again and skipping inside with her friends. I chuckled at her enthusiasm and got back in the car.

"She definitely knows what to say to make you blush," I joked. I was looking at his faded pink cheeks, smiling widely while he kept his focus on the road.

"I wasn't blushing," he lied.

I chuckled, "Yes you were."

"No."

"Yes," I said, getting out of the car once he parked in my driveway. He got out too and took my hand as he walked me to my door.

"No," he continued.

"Hmm, so you don't want me to stay over? I see how it is," I teased, turning away from him. He grabbed my wrist and turned me back around to face him. He looked straight into my eyes as I did the same.

"Now I never said that," he said, showing his famous smile that I love. I rested my arms on his shoulders, lightly intertwining my fingers in his hair. He smiled at this and kissed me, his tongue exploring my mouth as I explored his.

"Seraphina!"

I jumped back to see my mother standing in the doorway of my house. And she looked pissed. I smiled sheepishly at her while she glared at Jason.

"Uhm, goodnight Jason," I said, hugging him.

"Goodnight," he said to my mom and me before walking back to his car. I sighed and slowly followed my mom into my house. Here we go...

"What in the world were you thinking? What if the new neighbors saw you?" she yelled. I looked down at my shoes. Yup, she definitely hates Jason now, even though we were only kissing.

"I don't know," I said quietly.

"Well let's just hope they didn't see you. We don't want them to think you're a slut."

Wait, what? "He's been my boyfriend for months now, which they already know!"

"That doesn't mean you can practically have sex on the front porch!"
