It all started in 1941 in pearl harbor, Hawaii.
We were attacked by surprise, I was alone when it went down, I was eating off base and i hear the whirring, twirling, soft whistling sound and a very faint tink*, i think someone might be fishing so i take another bite of my BLT, then when i bite down and hear the soft crunch it goes off, BOOOOM the destroyer in the bay blows up. I look to see what happened and see plane's, as i inspect closer i realize they have a big red circle..... Then it hits me THE"RE JAPS!!! I drop my lunch and run for my car. By the time i get to it another bomb blows up they are targeting our ships. I put the key in the ignition and turn it,(it doesn't start) *dut dut dut* *dut dut dut* Oh come on don't fail me now i yell as i punch the dashboard i turn the the key again and it finally starts. I put it in gear and head for the airfield. Japs are bombing the fleet in the bay, wave after wave, more and more model 11's and 12's arrive in the the sky. When the bombers arrived that's when it really started. First wave was normal bombing runs, second wave was combined with bombs and torpedos. I was around the bend when i realized the ships were not the only thing attacked they bombed the training camps, hospitals and shot up the airfields. I could see the flames and black smoke rising higher and higher every second. As i pull up i get my first glimpse of the damage i see the bodies laying all over the pavement with multiple holes bigger than my fist all over the chest, legs and arms. I gag over the smell of burnt flesh, as I turn the corner i see the charred flesh around the hangers. As i start to lose hope i see people putting out fires, people carrying the 50. Cal ammo loading the guns and start firing at the planes above. Most importantly the pilot's and co pilots, they grabbed the aviation fuel and filled up the planes. As my adrenaline starts pumping through my blood i running across the runway to my barracks, it's on fire, i cover my nose with my shirt and run in. I find my room open my trunk and find my helmet, i grab it and run back to my P-40 tomahawk.
