LONNIE, chapter 7

MULAN's DAUGHTER WAS LEFT alone in the big, dark room. She tried to loosen the ropes but they were very well secured. In another words, there was no way she could've escaped on her own. All she had left, was to hope that Jay would come back for her. Which, after all of their arguments, would be not surprising if he didn't. Lonnie kept looking for something to help her, but she couldn't find anything. She was tied to a chair which stood in the middle of an empty room. There was nothing she could use as a weapon either. She let out a sigh and looked down. A tear fell down her cheek and reached her thighs. "You cryin'?" She heard from behind. Lonnie didn't have to look to know that it was Hedda and the guys.

"Go away." She said but they didn't listen.

"Are you waiting for your prince to come and rescue you?" Max asked with a thick British accent, he looked over at Lonnie and smirked.

They all stood in front of her, looking down at her. Lonnie glared at all of them and then looked away, at the door they used to get in.

"I'll take that as a yes," Max went on. "You should be, if he actually cares about you, he'll do what Jafar has asked him."

"And what is that?" Lonnie asked, concerned about Jay's well-being.

"Oh so now we wanna talk?" Seth pointed out and laughed out loud.

"We thought you knew," Hedda added. "Jafar asked Jay to bring his Snake Staff to him."

Lonnie's eyes widened, causing Hedda to smirk at her. Something inside Lonnie went off, she knew how powerful Snake Staff was. She was afraid, Jafar was gonna come after everyone in Auradon.

"Jay will never do it. Nobody would allow it." Lonnie scoffed.

"Oh," Hedda fake gasped. "Then he'll have to say goodbye to you. Tsk, what a shame."

Lonnie was afraid, but she'd never show it to anyone, especially them. She was scared that Hedda, Max and Seth would kill her at any second.

"You see, we were never loved, living here on the Isle is a nightmare. But some why, you guys have amazing lives. What did we ever do to you?" Max asked.

"How would I know? Dumbass." Lonnie whispered and scrunched her nose.

"Hey, watch your mouth, don't upset my Maxi." Seth glared at her.

Lonnie wasn't sure but she definitely could see the connection between two boys. Seth would always look over at Max, to check if he was okay, and he'd do the same. She felt bad for them, maybe they would have had a good life together if they weren't living on the Isle. "Or else?" Lonnie challenged.

"Nothing yet. Seth, you can do whatever you want with her, if Jay doesn't come in time." Hedda stopped scar faced boy. "Until then, she can stay tied up to this chair."

Hedda turned around to leave and motioned for boys to the same. Just as they left, Lonnie saw Seth's hand intertwine with Max's for a second.

She sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

Jay
Jay was determent to do anything to save Lonnie.

He was called to the King's office to talk about his father and the trade he was offering. Jay quietly walked in and saw Ben, King and Queen, Fairy Godmother and Mulan. He freaked out at seeing Lonnie's mother with his own eyes. She was just like said in the myths and legends, tranquil as a forest but a fire within. With her one glance Jay felt something bad in his stomach, he knew she was disappointed in him, for getting her daughter in danger.

"Welcome, Jay!" Ben called and got up from his chair. "We were talking about Lonnie and came to a conclusion."

"Really?" Jay exclaimed, afraid of what he might have heard.

"Yes. We decided that we can't let Jafar have his Snake Staff." Fairy Godmother said and let out a heavy breath.

Jay's eyes widened, his knees felt weak and heart dropped in chest. "What? Are we just gonna leave Lonnie? You can't just-"

"We're not leaving Lonnie." Ben said. He took a breath and looked at his father, who almost unnoticeably nodded to his son. "We're gonna take her by force."

Jay took a second to think about everything Ben said and then exclaimed. "What are you gonna do, send men to get Lonnie? Threaten my dad? Good luck, because the last thing he'll do is to kill Lonnie."

"Snake Staff won't leave the museum." FG demanded and caused Jay to get angry.

"My dad is much worse than Uma and her crew. Lonnie's in danger and by sending a force you're gonna make it even worse." Jay replied.

"Well, maybe, you shouldn't have let her get in trouble in the first place." Mulan said. Quietly, without showing any emotion in her voice. Her eyes, they gave her away, Jay could clearly see how worried Lonnie's mother was.

"You're right

"You're right. It's my fault and i'm going to fix it." Jay breathed and left the room.

He went back to his dorm room and slammed the door behind him. He caused everyone to look up at him. Mal and Evie were frightened, Carlos seemed surprised.

"What happened?" Evie asked and motioned to Jay to sit with her and Mal around the table.

"They want to send an army to get Lonnie." Jay said.

"That's no good." Carlos whispered. He was sitting on his bed, with Dude next to him. "They won't get her alive."

"That's what I told them, but nobody cares." Jay said. "They refused to let me take Snake Staff to the Isle."

"Jafar's gonna kill Lonnie?" Evie exclaimed and brought her hands to her mouth.

"No!" Jay yelled out. "I won't let that happen."
"What are we gonna do?" Mal asked.

Jay looked down at his hands, then back up at the VK's. "I'm gonna steal the Snake Staff from the museum."
Evie gasped, Mal's eyes widened, Carlos' jaw dropped. He shook his head.

"Are you serious? You're gonna get yourself sent back to the Isle." Carlos informed Jay.

"Only, if I get caught." Jay replied.

"No!" Mal exclaimed. "You can't risk, Jay. Carlos is right, you're gonna get in trouble."

"Try to understand guys," Jay started, quietly and calmly. "I need to help Lonnie, she's counting on me. I can't disappoint her. Besides, Ben's plan is never gonna work. They're gonna get her killed."

Mal looked at Evie and Carlos. They all nodded in agreement. She let out a breath and closed her eyes for a second. She then looked at Jay and nodded. "If so, we're coming with you."

"We're a family. We've been through a lot together, we'll handle this too." Evie added.

"And we never turn our back on each other. Even if that means, we'll get ourselves into a hella amount of troubles." Carlos finished and smiled at the VK's.

"Yeah and you know what? We'll succeed, 'cause we're rotten..." Mal said.
"...to the core." Evie, Carlos and Jay replied with smiles on their faces.

"Thanks guys," Jay said.

"Any time." Evie replied as Carlos pulled everyone into a group hug.
