JAY, chapter 11
BOY WOKE UP EARLY IN THE morning. So did everyone else, basically. They all packed and got ready to leave Auradon, to go to the Underworld. Where Maggie would meet her grandpa's brother.
Everyone was standing outside in the garden, wanting to wish good luck to the trio. Jay, Lonnie and Maggie went into the car and waved goodbye at everyone that was staying in Auradon."You know, Three for Zeus is a lucky number, that's why demigods always go as trio on missions. So my grandpa will look after us." Maggie assured Jay and Lonnie, which were sitting next to each other, Maggie sitting on the opposite side of them.
"Yeah that's a plus." Lonnie murmured.
"Really tho. I just talked to Zeus on the Olympus. He said everyone will look after us." Maggie said. "By everyone I mean, Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Athena and the list goes on."
"It's good to know." Jay smiled at Maggie and she smiled back.
Boy looked out from the window. The road was longer compared to the road to the Isle. Lonnie fell asleep halfway and laid her head on Jay's shoulder, which the boy didn't mind at all.
The driver was getting freaked out because of the spookiness of the place."This is basically almost the entrance of the underworld." Maggie exclaimed.
"Shhh!!" Jay shushed her. "Lonnie's sleeping."
"Geez. Sorry lover-boy." Maggie chuckled and raised her eyebrows.
"Don't call me that." Jay whined and carefully woke Lonnie up. "We're almost there." He whispered to her.
The car stopped for two minutes and the driver quickly went back to Auradon, leaving Jay, Lonnie and Maggie all on their own. Of course, if Maggie was right Zeus was already looking down on them.
"Love birds listen up." Maggie clapped her hands and turned on her heels to face Jay and Lonnie. "Dont touch, eat, smell, drink, feel, think about - ANYTHING. Its dangerous."
"Okay. What else?" Jay asked.
"Watch out or the traps." Maggie replied shortly.
"Anything else?" Lonnie asked.
"I need a knife." Maggie demanded. Jay and Lonnie looked at her awkwardly. She rolled her eyes. "Bloodline, remember?"
Jay grabbed a knife from his leather boots and handed it to Maggie. She slowly cut her finger and let the drop of her own blood fall down on the ground.
Everything around them was dead. Every tree, every rock, everything - was dead. No birds, no leaves, no flowers. Nothing. Just bare trees and dead grass everywhere.
Just as Maggie's blood reached the ground, a hole opened in it, which went down very deep. The stairs felt old and weak but it was the only way to get in.
"I thought Hades lived on the Isle." Lonnie questioned.
"Technically, this is part of the Isle. He can't escape this place." Maggie assured and went down the stairs.
Jay and Lonnie exchanged looks and followed her. It was dark but Maggie's had a lamp with her, so had Jay. Nobody really talked, just Lonnie making comments about everything. When they reached the end of endless staircases, they saw a huge wooden door. Maggie stepped in front and the gate quickly opened for her. She went in and motioned for Jay and Lonnie to follow her. Which they did.
They appeared in a huge room filled with lake as floor, it was super large and it's highest point was Hades' throne."Wooow..." Lonnie let out but Jay shushed her.
"Remember. Do not touch the water. It's gonna take your soul and you'll be prisoner here forever." Maggie said and stepped away from the lake.
