In a black void, untouched by light, lies two humans. One of them was a girl with light skin and long bright-red hair with alternating streaks of a peach-pink which is tied into long twintails by two spiky teal hairbands that end with orange parallel-laced ribbons. Her fringes are placed towards the side, revealing her forehead.

Her outfit consists of a mid-length dress with multiple layers of white ruffles and matching long boots. Both have a golden-orange pattern with a form of insignia on them and her dress also has an extending flap which stems from the collar and through the midpoint of her outfit. Over her dress, she wears a long-sleeved, blue jacket of variant shades. The jacket's length is short and reaches her upper waist. It has the same lacing as her dress, as well as multiple buttons and a meandering orange shape at the wrists, which is finished off by finger-less gloves.

The other was a man with blonde hair and under his eyes, he has black markings around his eye-bags. His attire consists of tailored black trousers tightened with two belts and brown boots and gloves. He also wears an orange shirt, a loose white shirt and a black waistcoat, finished off by the long-dark business type jacket.

The girl was the first to move and opened her green eyes. She lifted herself up, and shook her head. She looked all around, but saw nothing but black. She then noticed the man right next to her, his face directing itself towards her. She crawled over and shook him.

"Eizen." She called to him, "Hey, Eizen! Wake up!" She heard the man moan a bit, then he opened his eyes, and raised himself up.

"Eleanor, how is it possible that you're alive?" The man asked and Eleanor shakes her head

"I don't really know myself, it's like I was revived by someone." Eleanor replied. "What about you, Eizen?"

"I turned into a dragon to save the Van Eltia, damn those fake Lords of Calamity!" He retorted, looking around. "So, where are we?"

"I don't know." Eleanor answered, raising herself to her feet and looked around. Eizen got to his feet, and he started to look around.

"Sure is black and quiet here." he stated, "Do you think this is where lost souls come to?"

"Don't make me freak even more out! I'm already little on edge with me being alive!" Eleanor exclaimed irritated.

"I'm just kidding." Eizen replied as he looks around. "Still, I can't feel an earth pulse here."

"You mean its like we're in a-"

"A void?" Finished a voice.

The two of them turned to where it came from. There, standing alone, was a young girl with blond hair and a simple white dress. The two stared at her as she walked to them.

"Yes, everything you see right now is a void," she continued, "You're alive in this alternate world, this place, even me, well sort of." she added, stopping to meet them.

"Who-who are you?" Eleanor asked, trying to take out her weapon but doesn't feel it's there. "Where's my spear? And what do you mean we're alive in an alternate world."

"Forgive me," she answered, "My name is Namine. As for what I said, it is true. This is an another world."

Eleanor and Eizen gasped. They couldn't believe it. They were someplace else while in their home, everyone thought they were dead.

"Wait a minute, you said 'an another world'." Eizen quoted, "Does it mean what I think it is?"

"You are in an entirely different world, yes." She answered. "I know two of your friends are here as well. I think his name was Laphicet."

"Laphicet's here?!" Eleanor shouted in shock.

"He's supposed to be Maotelus in our world." Eizen pointed out.

"I promise to tell you everything but not here."

Namine turned and waved a hand. Suddenly, another black portal opened up in front of them. She stepped towards them, then turned to the others, who didn't move.

"If you want to know more, you're gonna have to trust me." she told them. Eleanor and Eizen looked at each other. While it was preposterous, insane, unbelievable, every word under the book in what she was saying, the fact that they were there, and the fact that she knew who Laphicet was undeniable. They then turned back to Namine, and nodded.

"Wait! Just who are you?" Eleanor asked her. Namine smiled a bit as she answered, "Some people refer to me as a witch."

"A witch?" Eleanor repeated.

"Then you're not a fraud like Magilou." Eizen pointed out.

Namine stepped into the portal and disappeared. The two looked at one another, and then followed Namine into the portal. For a while, they were walking a bit in the portal, then they stepped out into a dimly lit room. Inside, they found themselves surrounded by technology, with a computer in one corner with several monitors. It was rather odd-looking.

"What is this place?" Eleanor asked, looking all around to find her spear leaning against the wall as Namine went to the computer.

"This is a computer room underneath a mansion." She told them, typing away at the computer. "I spent some time piecing back the memories of someone here."

"Piecing who's memories?" Eizen asked as he and Eleanor walked up to Namine at the computer.

"Someone who is actually helping your friends out." She answered, causing the two to be surprised.

"So is Laphicet here?" Eleanor asked, looking up at the monitor.

"No." she answered, "At least, he was here, but now he's traveling to different worlds."

"Traveling to different world?" Eleanor echoed, absolutely shocked.

"What, they're some place where we can't reach him?" Eizen asked Namine. She nodded to him.

"They are right now traveling from world to world, saving them from beings called the Heartless and Nobodies." she explained to them, "Not only that, but they are also looking for the one who brought them here; a man named DiZ."

"DiZ?" Eleanor repeated.

"He was the one...who found your world." Namine answered, "He discovered about how the heart can express light and darkness in the world you live in, and found it interesting. Not only did he research the heart, he wanted to understand it further. That's when he discovered about the tragedy that plagued your world..."

She then tapped the keyboard, and pulled up a few pictures of Wasteland in the different places of the Empire. "He learned about the event that changed your world to see monsters known as 'daemons' that are born from the darkness of people's hearts. It was through this book that DiZ discovered that the Shepherd, a hero possessing extraordinary powers, made these events happen." The monitor showed a few pictures from a book, showing the illustrations of the Shepherd holding up a child on his sword which the two knew who it was.

"He discovered how a group of unlikeliest heroes saved your world from within the shadows." Namine continued, "He also discovered that you can contain your darkness through pure will and reason."

"It was through this that he decided to test something out." Namine said, "He believed that maybe he could create a similar warrior to stop an Organization, who are cruel without a doubt, but who's goals we don't know. That's when he sent his own 'quest' to your world, to see if that would draw to it. Turns out, he was right."

"So his experiment was a success?" Eizen asked, being reminded of someone they hunted under their journey.

"Yes." Namine, pulling up the video of DiZ in front of a full body tube with what looks like a person, "He managed to create a powerful warrior that fitted with the image he had in mind but the one before her was completely turned to the bad side and joined the Organization."

Just then they hear someone coming in to the room, they saw it was a woman through the body shape even though she had a hood on which covered the sight of her face and hair(her outfit is in the media).

"Welcome back, Viola." Namine greeted the girl.
