"The event planned for today is a relay race!" Anju spoke, "Four packs will compete at a time and the winners from each pack then go on to face each other. Points will be awarded to First, Second and third place winners. The first Four Packs are the Blue Waters Pack, the Ancient Warriors Pack, the Hanging Talons pack and the Falling Stones Pack, wolves please come forward.

Five members of each Pack grouped together and get ready for the race. Each pack had the flag of their country with their pack's symbol on it. My attention went to the Blue Waters pack as a very familiar scent caught my nose.

I suddenly flinched as I felt Hadden try to forcibly break down the wall between us. He pounded and pounded giving me a headache.

I then realized what he was reacting to. There she was again. My... mate.

She was apart of the Blue Waters Pack.

I couldn't take the pounding anymore so I took down the wall and nearly belled over in fear of his anger.

You idiot! He snarled, You damn stupid idiot! You ran away from our mate, she probably thinks we rejected her! Your ruined your first impression with her!

I felt ashamed from his scolding,"I know I'm sorry-"

Sorry won't fix anything, we have to see her again and you need to apologize to her and accept her!

"W-what if she won't accept me?"

Well you probably- she's looking at us... he trailed off.

He was right. I caught her staring up at us, I could see the surprise and hurt in her eyes, she truly thought I did reject her.

She is also realizing that her mate is the Prince, His voice was a little gentler.

I tried to give her a smile but it just couldn't be formed, instead, I continued to watch her as she joined her pack mates and got in position for the race. She had pulled her auburn hair up into a braid and wore a dark purple tank top.

She's beautiful, Hadden murmured and I felt his desire for our mate.

I ignored his comment although I did agree with him that she was a sight to behold. My dear mate was the last wolf to run for the finish line in the race. Will she be able to run that far? Is she a fast wolf? What does her wolf form look like?

Each racing wolf shifted into their form, with the first wolves at the beginning holding the baton in their jaws. They would have to pass it to the other wolf's jaws five times before finishing the race. That could be difficult to make sure not to drop it.

I glanced at her wolf form and my heart beat began to beat faster like last time. Oh her wolf form was just as gorgeous as she was. Her fur was long like mine and silver like the moon. A long darker stripe started from her nose and trailed up her face, down her spine and to her tail tip. Light grey were her eyes, as they shone in the light.

Again she looked at me again, all I could do was give a small nod. I'm not even sure she could have seen it from the distance between us.

"GO!"

I jumped, startled by the starting of the race. Mavvie smirked, "Scared the fur right off you."

I glared at him then looked back at the race. All four starting wolves were neck and neck with each other as the ran their leg of the race and approached the second wolves. I leaned over to Mavvie's side to watch how they transport the baton. The wolves leaned down to their partners and the second wolves grabbed the baton from their partner's jaws. Two wolves dropped their batons and picked it up but they lose a few seconds causing the others to get a few second head start.

A large charcoal grey wolf was now in the lead with a smaller brown wolf right behind him. The other two couldn't catch up and trailed behind them. They passed on to the third wolves this time no wolves dropped the baton. One of the wolves from the back started to push themselves to get ahead of the others.

To the fourth wolves, and they all sprinted towards their final teammates and I kept my eyes on my silver mate.

One wolf got there, then a second and finally my mate. She raced towards the others. My jaws nearly dropped at her speed. They had a headstart and she was easily catching up to them. She whizzed right passed them and pushed herself to the finish.

Come on, come on you can do it! I thought silently cheering her on.

She did it. Passing the finish line and starting to slow down to a trot then walking. She dropped the baton and her teammates ran over to her to congratulate her.

Hadden spoke, We need to find her after to talk with her.

We will.

I was going to find her tonight.
