I Wanted to See You

(This chapter is based on the episode "Friendenemies", episode 19, season 2! If your favorite movie isn't a series, pretend it is or choose a series you really like!)

"Hey (y/n)! Whatcha doing?" Star Butterfly asked, peering over her friend's shoulder.

"Only buying tickets for the (f/m) marathon!" (Y/n) replied, spinning around in the chair to face her blonde friend.

"(F/m)?" Star gave the girl a strange look.

"It's only the greatest series of movies to ever exist!" (Y/n) spun back around in the chair to face the laptop she had previously been on. Her face quickly changed from excited to pale and surprised when she laid eyes on the screen. "They're... Sold out? No way!" (Y/n) slammed her fists down on either side of the laptop.

"Aw, I'm sorry (y/n)," Star sympathised. She placed a hand on the other girl's shoulder. "I'm sure there's still a chance you can get a ticket."

"Another ticket?" (Y/n)'s voice was louder now that she was angry. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Ugh, nothing good ever happens to me!"

Just then, a burst of flames appeared in the room and (y/n) was thrown out of her chair by the blow. As they faded away, (y/n) noticed a boy their age standing where the fire had been. (Y/n) knew the boy with purple skin and messy red hair to be Tom, though it was mostly by his third eye and horns that he was recognized.

"Hey," he said nonchalantly. "What's up?"

"Tom?" Star questioned, looking up at him. "What are you doing here?"

"Actually, I was wondering if we could hang out," he replied, averting his eyes from Star, who (y/n) knew to be his ex girlfriend and long time crush.

Star rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Ugh! No, no, no, no, a million times no!" she replied in an annoyed tone.

"Not with you, Star. I meant Marco!"

"Marco?"

"Yeah, where is he?" Tom glanced around the room.

"Marco isn't here right now," (y/n) finally spoke up.

Tom turned his gaze to her before looking around the room, and back to the girl once more. "But you're in his room."

"(Y/n)'s using his laptop, duh," came Star's response.

Tom shrugged. "You'll have to do then." The demon boy nodded in (y/n)'s direction and reached out his hand for her to take.

"What? I'm not going anywhere with you!" said (y/n) as she stepped closer to Star.

"No? Oh. Okay then. I guess I'll just find somebody else to go with me to this movie marathon..."

Tom was acting uncharacteristically calm, but the mention of a movie marathon caught (y/n)'s attention.

"Wait!" (Y/n) called before the boy had the chance the leave through the flames that had just reappeared. "Would that marathon happen to be (f/m)?"

Tom turned around with a smirk on his face, his red eyes locking with (y/n)'s (e/c) ones. "Maybe."

"You're a fan of (f/m)?"

Tom stepped towards her. "I'm a super fan!"

(Y/n) looked sceptical, and when she didn't reply right away, Star grabbed her friend's arm and pulled her slightly to the side. "I think you should go!" she prompted.
