"Oh my god."
"Excuse me?" Some blonde was standing next to me at my locker.
"Oh I'm sorry you just look super familiar. Hi I'm Caroline Forbes."
"Yeah and I don't care so excuse me." I shove her out of my way and head to class. She stood there with her mouth wide open.

~History~

"What's you're name?" The blonde continues to pester me once she comes to the same class.
"None of you business."
"Are you new?" She sits in the desk besides me.
"Are you annoying?"
"Stefan come here!" The guy she called too stops in his steps as he faces me.
"Hey I'm Stefan Salvatore."
"As in Damon Salvatore?"
"So you've met my brother."
"Tragically. Hi I'm Skylar André."
"Oh so you do have a name!" I look from Caroline to Damon's brother.
"Girlfriend?" He smiles at us both.
"More like wife."
"You're married? Aren't we still in high school?"
"Yeah but we got married as soon as we turned eighteen."
"I'm sorry," I say to Stefan.
"Okay I'll ignore your rude comments because you remind me so much of two people."
"Same two people Damon was talking about?"
"You know about Kathrine and Elena?" Stefan suddenly becomes intrigued and raises his voice.
"Not exactly. He told me about the one girl he loved and 'wanted every human experience' whatever that means, and death was part of that. Also the one he could give a damn about that's dead."
"Elena was the one he loved," Caroline explains.
"What happened to her? How'd she die?"
"She umm... she passed away because she was in a car accident with her entire family."
"Oh poor Damon. He seems really nice."
"I guess he is now. Be careful okay? My brother ... well just be careful with him."
"Sure I guess."
"Would you want to hang out with us after school?"
"Alright Barbie I guess you're not the worst company."

~After class~

"Danny tell mom I'm not going home after school."
"Oh shocker. You've already made friends with a guy."
"Goodbye Daniel." I spin towards Stefan and we walk outside the school.
"Brother?"
"Twin brother. He's my polar opposite and a pain."
"Damon and I used to be the same way."
"And now?"
"Inseparable."
"Well I won't hold my breath with my brother."
"Tell me about him."
"He's kind of nerdy and a suck up to my mom."
"And you?"
"I'm stubborn and crazy." I give him a wide grin.
"You don't seem crazy."
"That's cause we just met. See that group over there," I point to the stoners who were lighting up their first joint. He nods. "I'd be their ring leader. Oh and that group." We now face the people with flasks at hand. "Well I still do that but not as hard as before. I was the most popular and hottest girl at my old school and not cause I was the best cheerleader, which I was, or the most school spirted, but because I was kind of a slut."
"Please I can't imagine that."
"And I hope you never do. I came her for new."
"Well then it's a clean slate. You're Skylar André, new girl."
"Thank you." We get into his car and find Caroline already waiting next to some guy.

"Skylar! Meet my best friend Tyler Lockwood. Tyler this is the new girl I was telling you about."
"Damn," he blurts out.
"Hey."
"Oh I'm sorry it just you remind me of someone."
"Did everyone know Elena or Kathrine?"
"Wait she knows?"
"No um we were all really close friends with Elena. Besides us, Damon, and a few others who don't live here, no one really remembers her."
"What about Kathrine?"
"Only the limited few again."
"Probably some other enemies of her too. She was a major bitch."
"I've caught on to that."
"Alright let's go show Skylar around!"
